GRIP - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Post-Hardcore band GRIP from USA, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We really liked the concision and immediate reaction that the word, "grip" invokes.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?  

We were very interested in playing with dynamics and creating a dark, often helpless atmosphere.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Our drummer and bassist have known each other since high school, then our guitarist met them while working in a pizza shop together 5.

4. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The lyrics and instrumentals are inspired by the interactions between nature and our heavily inorganic surroundings.

5. Where was your last gig?

Our last show was in August at the Kung Fu Necktie in Philadelphia.

6. Where would you like to act?

We're a pretty new band and have only played one show so far so right now we're just looking to play more local shows in Philly at the various DIY house venues around the city.

7. Whom would you like to feature with?Whorn not?

 I don't think it really applies for the type of band we are I feel like features is more of a pop/hip-hop thing.

8. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Particular bands haven't influenced our sound so much as certain scenes and the feelings they often provoke.

9. What do you think of our site?

The site presents a great opportunity to find out about new and upcoming bands
