Here Lies A Whisper - Interview

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It was difficult to choose the name, we were looking for something different from the usual and that she liked (and represent) the ideas of the whole band, so we compared various ideas and mix, this is the result of a name that is how life is as short as a whisper .

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Each of us comes from different musical situations and experiences, we all think that this genre is the pinnacle of what a musician can do, for the musical technique (in the metal and jazz are the most difficult) and because we can express our emotions through a genre that has no limitations.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We met with the formation of the band, it was great because we learned a lot from each other and thanks to the music you have created a strong bond.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Alvise: Parkway Drive, Architects, Northlane

Matteo: We Came As Romans, Skylitdrive, Iron Maiden

Federico: Breakdown Of Sanity, Memphis May Fire, Bless The Fall

Davide: Polar, Black Tide

Gabri: Bury Tomorrow, Periphery

Smanio: Suicide Silence, August Burns Red, Bring Me The Horizon

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We usually write our song thinking about the problems we all meet in our life, music has to be a sincere expression of what you truly feel inside.

6. Where was your last gig?

Was the i-core day in July, a festival linked to the festival of motorcycling.

7. Where would you like to act?

There's no a specific stage we'd like to act on, so far we have only played our music in little underground pubs but it would be a dream for us travel around the world doing what we like most: playing our music.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

There are hundred of bands we'd like to play with, from Memphis May Fire to Breakdown of Sanity, no one knows if we'll ever meet them, but no one can prevent you from dreaming.

9. Whom not?

We are used to play with bands of each genre, but the most important thing is people's behaviour. If you respect us and the passion we dedicate to the music we'll gladly play with you.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

When you're about to go on the stage you always feel a little scared but you have to turn  your fear into strenght. When you go on stage you don't have to think that you have to be the best, a lot of people won't even listen to you, but you have to show your feelings. Tecnichque is important, but feelings even more.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We are still used to play in little underground pub so we don't have a great amount of fans. Ahah!

13. What do you think of your fans?

We think fans are the main reason why we play. They are able to give you an amazing strenght and help you during the hardest moments of your career.
