Shaping The Legacy - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore band Shaping The Legacy from USA, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We actually used an online word generator, and wrote down several words that we liked the sound of. When we put "shaping the legacy" together, it sounded really good to us, and alluded to what we're trying to do: create our own legacy with our music.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

All of us listen to various genres (and have our guilty pleasure bands), but Metal is simply our favorite genre.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I (Joe) knew the vocalist Rudy before we formed the band, as well as our bassist Justin (though he was a much later addition to the band). Bryan and Juan are friends of friends.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Joe: Killswitch Engage

Rudy: Dreamshade

Justin: Faith No More

Juan: Periphery

Bryan: Pantera

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Music is always in our heads, but only at certain times are we able to extract it and make something great. Inspiration is a very odd and random thing, and not all inspiration is good...you have to pick your battles with it.

6. Where was your last gig?

We haven't played any gigs with this band yet! We have gone through many lineup changes since this band's inception, and just recently had some shows get booked.

7. Where would you like to act?

We would like to see the world, in general. Playing all over is our ultimate goal.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

With our favorite bands!

9. Whom not?

None of us are gunning to open up for Miley Cyrus. Well, Juan might, actually.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

For me personally, I don't get stage fright. But like anyone, I do experience a little pre-show nerves. My best advice to anyone, beginner or not, is to focus on having fun. If you focus on that, as opposed to playing your absolute best, you won't be so anxious, and the crowd will be much more receptive to you.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Killswitch Engage has had a huge influence on me, but there are many bands that have done just about as much. Others for me include As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, Soilwork, Dreamshade, and so on.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

As much as I love this question, I can't think of anything!!!

13. What do you think of your fans?

I think there's only one way anyone should think of them, and that's in the greatest light possible. The fans define us; they are the ones making it possible for us to follow our dreams and shape our legacy.

14. What do you think of our site?

I love any website that is so passionate about supporting music. Your dedication to it is greatly appreciated!

15. Something to add?

Keep on the lookout for our EP, music video, and shows! We're all over social media. Thanks to you guys and the fans!
