Supreme Veredict - Interview

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

We were trying to find a good name and we came across a deck of Magic The Gathering cards. If you play Magic at all you know Supreme Verdicts destroy everything, and can't be stopped. We thought it was a good reflection of our style.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

We have been into hardcore for a long time now. It was a natural choice to play what we are playing now.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

A couple of us have known each other for a really long time. We all kind of met in the scene. Being in a band together has let us really get to know each other though.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Our vocalist Gary's favorite band is Bishop, Our guitarist Mikey's is The Banner, Our Bassist Austin's is Trapped Under Ice, and our Drummer Octavian's is Every Time I Die

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Life inspires us to write our music, putting up with bullshit from people in life and having to deal with it. Music is a release from reality.

6. Where was your last gig?  

Our last gig was at our local venue The Gasworks out here in Albuquerque, NM. Solid venue and tight dudes that run it. Stellar place.

7. Where would you like to act?  

We would like to play anywhere, I think the goal at this point is to start touring. Where ever our vehicles and money allows us to play, that's where we want to be.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

If we are talking about putting a split out with anyone we would love to work with any of our friends in bands. Distances and Hollow Tongue from Albuquerque, New Mexico. 7 Serpents and No Altars from out in Phoenix, AZ.  We are up to working with whoever.

9. Whom not?  

No one really.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Not really. Go out there and put on a killer show and have fun.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Bands that have made an impact on our sound are mostly older moshcore bands like Bury Your Dead, Hatebreed, Black My Heart, Thick as Blood. Bands with a lot of anger.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

Nothing as of yet.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

I wouldn't call them fans per say but we have a lot of great dudes out in the southwest that have been supporting us. We owe everything that we have done to our friends. A lot of support and love.

14. What do you think of our site?  

I think the site is great. It's great to see so many different hardcore and heavier bands out there doing there thing and you guys supporting it. Keep up the good work guys!
