Arreat Summit - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore/Deathcore band Arreat Summit from Sweden, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It´s inspired from the game Diablo, some of us are kind of game-nerds.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

We are not sure what genre we’re playing besides metal. Metal probably because it’s fun and challenging to play on guitar, drums and bass. The genre is very aggressive which makes for great live shows.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Egga, Mackan and Sonny all come from the same town (Motala) so they where familiar and had played in previous bands together. Matthias and Martin met them once joining the band.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Matthias - TBDM/Dave Matthews Band/Cancer Bats

Egga – TBDM/As Blood Runs Black/Upon a Burning Body

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Playing and listening to metal as much as we do, the inspiration comes by itself. Hearing that people like our music at shows, online etc, is really encouraging even though we do this for ourselves.

6. Where was your last gig?  

Tegelbruket, Örebro, Sweden

7. Where would you like to act?

It would be cool to have the opportunity to tour the states.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

TBDM, As Blood Runs Black, The Faceless, Whitechapel, Unearth, Acacia Strain.

9. Whom not?  

Justin Bieber (yes, very original answer).

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

When starting out playing shows for the first time, one is usually very self conscious. Stage presence and overcoming fright comes with experience. The best way to prepare for playing on stage is being prepared. Be sure you know how to play your songs (standing up etc) and that the whole band knows what is going to happen. It all depends on what type of music you play, but there is very little rooms for improv in metal, therefore rehearsing a lot in time for shows is good idea. Also, never be discouraged if a show does not go well, it has happened to everybody and will continue to happen to everybody, just relax.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

There´s so many good bands that´s inspired us but The Black Dahlia Murder has always been a huge influence.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

We wish we had more girls listening to our music and coming out to shows. But they are all pretty cool and supportive.

14. What do you think of our site?

We had never heard of it until now. Will definitely check it out since it looks like it has music news and reviews from both big and small artists.
