Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Post-Hardcore band Ash Is A Robot from Portugal, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you   planned it or came out just like that?

As all bands do find it hard to pick a name for their band, we made a list of names each one liked and some sugestions from friends. After a while we decided "Ash is a Robot" was the best, it had an history behind it and sounded good. It was a sugestion from a friend.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

It came naturally. we were deeply influenced by the 2000's music era.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we all played together before (with the exception of Claudio) in diferent projects which made it easier in the composition stage and social relationship.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Francisco (Hella)

Claudio (At the Drive In)

Renato (King Crimson)

Vasco (Quim Barreiros)

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Normally the ideas for songs come from Francisco and/or Renato.

(Francisco) I feel that I come across a lot of ideas from playing songs of different genres, I would say knowledge is the best inspiration.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in Bembibre Spain.

7. Where would you like to act?

(Francisco) I would like to play in Japan. I love their culture, not just musically.

(Claudio) Japan also

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

(Francisco) I would love to play and meet Dave Grohl.

(Claudio) Probably Cedric (from Antimasque)

9. Whom not?

(Francisco) Claudio's mother. xD

(Claudio)  Max Cavalera

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

(Francisco) It's always hard to perform in front of people but I wouldn't say we are afraid of the stage. Once you start playing, the audience seems to fade a bit and the enjoyment of that moment takes over.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Mostly Refused, At the drive-in, Yes, Hella, king Crimson.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

"Marry me" on twitter

13. What do you think of your fans?

Without them we are nothing. We owe them what we achieved until now. We are very grateful to have them on our side.

14. What do you think of our site?

Bands have a hard time trying to put up their music and be heard. Opportunities may come up from this type of promotion.

15. Something to add?

Thank you to Breathing The Core for making this awesome work promoting and giving opportunities to bands to grow their careers.
