Dearest Enemy - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Pop Punk/Post-Hardcore band Dearest Enemy from New Zealand, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?      

James & Ollie: We had list of names and some of us thought Dearest Enemy was good, while we were recording someone said “laters Dearest Enemy” and it kinda just stuck from there.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

James & Ollie: That was the kinda music we were into when we started taking it seriously, we liked hardcore and we liked pop punk so we decided to combined that together to get our sound.

Christian: We totally did it for the money…

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?    

James & Ollie: No, it was destiny.

Antonio: I knew Keane beforehand, we live in the same building

Christian: Keane found me on tinder, we hit it off well but he just wanted to be band mates in the end.

Keane: God dammit Christian...

Christian: You hurt me Keane!  Keane: God dammit...

4. Each band member favourite band?        

James: A Day To Remember

Ollie: Of Mice & Men

Christian: Yellowcard

Antonio: Avenged Sevenfold, A Day To Remember, Bring Me The Horizon

Keane: at the moment: Issues, Memphis Mayfire, Bring Me The Horizon

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?    

James & Ollie: Bands I admire and look up to

Christian: My ADD has me tripping on some weird concepts which gets me in a songwriting mood.

6. Where was your last gig?      

Zeal West

7. Where would you like to act?    

James & Ollie: Europe or USA

Antonio: Germany

Keane: India, bollywood is my back up if the band fails. I have, connections

Christian: I’d like to play back in my homeland Denmark

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

James & Ollie: Vic Fuentes or Fronz from attila

Christian: I The Mighty, I'm mates with the drummer, and hopefully if we pick up we'd love to tour with them here in NZ

Keane: I wanna feature with Babymetal (dont know them, look them up)

9. Whom not?    

James & Ollie: Blood on the dance floor or one direction

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?        

Keane: Take your shirt off, that helps

James & Ollie: Nah, the stage is afraid of me

Christian: No, and with a stick

Antonio: Yea, I’ve had stage fright. I still do. Just fake it till you make it

11. What bands have inspired you the most?      

James & Ollie: A day to remember, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, Issues, and Of Mice & and Men.

Keane: Lamb of God, Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfol, Alter Bridge, Bullet for my Valentine

Christian: Definitely got inspiration from Taylor Swift

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?      

Keane: I sign boobs

James & Ollie: We ain't that big yet

Christian: We have fans?

13. What do you think of your fans?        

James & Ollie: a bunch of bad ass motherfuckers

Antonio: More like supporters. They're just friends we know from our personal lives. they're great

14. What do you think of our site?        

James & Ollie: I think it's awesome how you promote the genre's that don't get the attention they deserve

Christian: I like them articles yo
