Dremenuart - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Heavyweight Hardcore/Metal band Dremenuart from Spain, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
It´s a random name Vic our guitarist came up with back when Dremenuart was a one man army porno grind band Lol. It’s true. The name is just a meaning by itself I guess.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
Vic, the main composer, is a freak of this music. Literally he has the whole genre in his wrists and has even written a song for For The Fallen Dreams. Ser, the bassist, used to play in a local band called Dellamorte Dellamore which is one of the biggest references of this sound in our contry, and Rivas have always been a big fan of Mat Bruso and Vincent Bennett and have always fluctuated between heavy stuff like this and Death Metal.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Vic mixed and mastered a single for the aforementioned Dellamorte Dellamore and became great friends. Short time after Ser contacted Lucho and Rivas to play in his new Hardcore project and eventually ended up filling in for Dremenuart too. We are a happy little family now.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Ser: Deftones, but Legend inspired me to give the bass sound in “Weightbearer”, Vic: My favourite band is For The Fallen Dreams but the band that inspired me to write “Weightbearer” is The Acacia Strain. Lucho: Death Rivas: Between The Buried And Me (“Telos” has a 2-step lol)
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Incommensurable love and umphatomable hatred, of course. “Weightbearer” is about overcoming personal struggles by means of art; in this case heavy music.
6. Where was your last gig?
We haven’t played live yet. We are from different parts of the country and that has made it a bit difficult as of now, but since we have released our first Ep we are planning on touring in the near future.
7. Where would you like to act?
Wherever they want us!
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
I personally would like Guy Kozowik from The Red Chord and Vincent from Acacia. That would be a dream for Drem. I don´t need to ask Ser or Vic to know that they would cream their pants if Chad Ruhlig from For The Fallen Dreams went along with the idea.
9. Whom not?
We don't want to discriminate anyone with this question, there are a lot of people that would say what everyone expects to read, but every band deserves his own chance.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
No, none of us. We have always had a positive attitude when it comes to performing live with our past and parallel projects. The attitude that has propelled Dremenuart and could serve as advice is mainly be clear with what each is capable of doing and enjoy your own objectives.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
We have strived to create something unique trying to recover the Hardcore Metal from 2005 onwards and merge it with something modern. It is difficult to talk about bands that have inspired us in “Weightbearer” since we all have different influences, but I guess we tried to do our own thing while still creating heavy music of the likes of Those Who Fear, The Acacia Strain or Legend to say some.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
“Can you give me your guitar patch preset?”.
13. What do you think of your fans?
We have few but awesome fans. We also have close people by our side who have helped us through all the difficulties that we have faced so far. In fact it is now that we are beginning to see people downloading our material and enjoying it. We thank them for giving us a chance and for moving their heads to our material. We are born again and we are eager to grow. Step by step of course.
14. What do you think of our web?
We think you give a great opportunity to bands like us that want to spread their music and message through the net. Without a doubt we have tremendous respect for your work whether or not we were featured here. Thanks a lot! On a side note, we really like the visuals; they look very neat and clean.
15. Something to add?
Hope you enjoy “Weightbearer” because we have put a lot of anger into it. Please, download it! Thanks for reading, we hope we can see you all at a show someday.
