The False Shepherd - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore band The False Shepherd from Sweden, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

The band name actually comes from a game called "BioShock"! We thought the name sounded cool so we went with it. Actually, the intro to "My Sanity" has a bit of sounds from the BioShock game, but in reverse etc.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

(Metalcore)It's probably because we all love some of the bands in this genre (Parkway Drive, In Flames etc.) and it's a really upcoming genre as well! The "hardness" of it does a lot too, easy to express feelings with a nice breakdown or chorus!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

The drummer (Jimmie) and two of the guitarists (Jack and Robert) knew each other from before. The vocalist (Oskar) and the bassist (Daniel) knew each other before as well. So it's a mix of friends! We met Gustav this fall!

4. Each band member favourite band?

Daniel: Mötley Crüe

Jack: In Flames

Jimmie: Avenged Sevenfold

Robert: Bullet For My Valentine

Oskar: Parkway Drive/ Linkin Park

Gustav: Parkway Drive

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Society and world events has a big impact on what we write, as well as personal issues/feelings.

6. Where was your last gig?  

In a little town in Sweden called Norberg!

7. Where would you like to act?  

"Rock am Ring"/ "Wacken Open Air" in Germany or "Download Festival" in England would be really cool to play! As well as Globen/Annexet in Sweden.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Some band members are saying "Soulja Boy"... But I think we'd all like it if we were able to play with Parkway Drive or maybe August Burns Red!

9. Whom not?  

Maybe country bands/artists. It doesn't go well with our genre! Haha...

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

"You just jump around and pretend that it's you watching the band" / Jimmie Just be well prepared and it's gonna be fine. Worst thing is to not remember what to play, so keep that in mind!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

It's a combination of all our favourite bands. Parkway Drive is a big inspiration, but you have to be able to not get influenced too much by any band, try to keep it fresh and not just repeat what others have done!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

Not a lot yet! I'm sure Daniels gonna get questions about his piercing "down under"!

13. What do you think of your fans?  

They are really awesome! It's incredible that we have so many already. Hopefully the fanbase is gonna grow and we'll meet new awesome people!

14. What do you think of our site?  

It's really nice that you promote not so famous bands, helps the bands a lot! Maybe even help to make some really famous, which is often the dream to any member of a band!
