Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Hardcore band This Burning City from Canada, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Our old guitarist actually came up with it as a song name originally. Then we were like, ya that would work as a band name.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

There’s just something about the hardcore style. So raw and full of energy. We all knew we wanted to play something heavy, but when we saw Dead and Divine for the first time, we were hooked on hardcore.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Oh ya. Well, most of us. Steve (vocals), Jacob (guitar), Mitch (guitar)and Jarrett (drums) knew each other in grade school. We met Nick in college, he was in other bands at the time. But he joined our little family and we couldn’t be happier.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Jarrett our drummer loves Dead and Divine (now Ritual) and Prophets. Nick our bassist loves Thrice Steve our vocalist likes The Devil Wears Prada. Jacob our guitarist loves Of Temples. Mitch our other guitarist likes The Holly Springs Disaster.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Well, just basically what we go through in life our problems we see. We just write what we are feeling in the moment. We write to convey emotion and bring awareness. Connecting with fans who have the same passion as us is a big part of what pushes us forward.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in Kingston, small show with Affiance. It was a bit odd in the sense that one of the opening acts was a spoken word artist and the other was a solo acoustic artist with no lyrics. But a fun change in pace.

7. Where would you like to act?

Really anywhere, we are not picky at all. but if we had to choose... probably Toronto area. But put us in a basement or in an arena and we're happy no matter what.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

If we had to choose, i'm sure it'd be a mutual decision on Matt Tobin from Ritual. A huge inspiration in what we do and an outstanding vocalist.

9. Whom not?

Anyone who’s a complete dick or homophobic or shit like that. We tend to be open minded and pretty accepting, so bashing heads with someone who doesn't look at things the way we do wouldn't be too fun.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Yup. Jarrett our drummer was the shyest guy on stage. The way he got over it? Just got to get up there. He started by only staring at the drums or an object. Once he felt more comfortable, he glanced at audience. You will get over it the more you do it, and when you do, it’ll be crazy fun and you will perform a lot better!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

I’d say Dead and Divine. They were the reason this band formed. But now, it’s all the touring bands who give the extra second to compliment our set. Keeps you going.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Weirdest thing a fan has asked for? Probably to grab our chins. Really.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are the reason we do this. Seeing them move around and have fun to our set is the most awarding thing. Sometimes people don't realize the long lasting effects of even a small compliment to people who work hard to do what they do.

14. What do you think of our site?

Your site is sweet. Easy to navigate, love the band of the month that stands out right at the front. Overall very sweet, keep up the solid work.

15. Something to add?

Nothing I can see. Site looks legit.
