We Destroyed Leviathan - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Deathcore band We Destroyed Leviathan from Singapore, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

 Well, the band name basically means to break through all obstacles in life to reach your goals and dreams, we got the idea from a song Parkway Drive wrote, "Leviathan I" we liked the word "Leviathan" so we did some research and found out that it meant "an obstacle".

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

We don't really know, each of us have different answers to this but mainly because it was fun and we all pretty much enjoyed this kinda music.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Yeah our vocalist (Avery) and our drummer (Ashley) are both brothers, both our guitarist (Ahmad and Royce) were friends with Avery in Secondary School and our bassit (Alif) was a mutual friend of the band since it began.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Avery - Parkway Drive/Veil Of Maya

Ahmad - Thy Art Is Murder/Born of Osiris

Royce - Foals

Alif - Muse/The Chariot

Ashley - The Dave Matthews Band

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

For many of us, inspiration comes from different places i guess so its hard to say, but Royce said 'My inspiration comes from Parkway Drive"

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last show was in Singapore, we have yet to play outside of our country!

7. Where would you like to play?  

Avery - Sonisphere Festival UK

Ahmad and Royce - Impericon Festival

Alif - Leeds Festival

Ashley - No specific one

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

We definitely wanna be featured with either August Burns Red or Parkway Drive in a song or on a tour!

9. Whom not?  

No one in particular! We would be happy with any help we can get.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

During our first show we were all pretty nervous, Avery's throat dried up and Royce didn't move the whole show and his cables dropped out multiple times. But i guess to overcome it, just enjoy every show and make it yours.

Royce - Parkway Drive

Alif - The Chariot

Ashley - Dream Theater and JOC

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

We dont really have many fans haha but pictures are mainly the only things we've been asked for.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

Our fans are great! We might not have many, but the few we have are INCREDIBLE.

14. What do you think of our site?  

We think its great! We followed BTC on twitter before we even knew you check us out, so it was an honour!
