Clockworks - Interview

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

1. We use to have a really shitty name "Bateman's Mind" we realised it was super bad and decided to change it haha. So one day i (Zac) was sitting down watching A Clockwork Orange and i was like "Clockworks". And thats how we got the name

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Well we've all been fans of the Metalcore/Hardcore Genre so we always knew we'd lean towards that direction, but with our music we always strive to write something different, something that hasnt been done before. 3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Nah we knew each other mutually but not really, just met each other through facebook.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Zac - Northlane, TesseracT, Villains, Turnstile, Fit For a King

Ryan - Sworn In, Villains, Xibalba, Nails, The Acacia Strain, Martyr Defiled

Andrew - Parkway Drive, Gift Giver, IKTPQ

Brian - Parkway Drive, Architects, Stray From The Path, IKTPQ

Lincoln - Hacktivist, August Burns Red, Sworn In

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Probably the thrill of being able to produce music that people actually enjoy, and come to see us perform. Its such a great feeling.

6. Where was your last gig?  

Towradgi Surf Club for Moshvember.

7. Where would you like to act?  

Anywhere out of Australia ahah or Soundwave, Or the Sonisphere

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

For me (Zac) Northlane for sure, and im pretty sure any bands we mentioned for our favourite bands.

9. Whom not?  

Nickelback ahahah

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Not really, you get a sort of thrill from the crowd, they arent that scary !! As for advice, just stay cool and embrace the crowd.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

As for clean guitars, TesseracT and Northlane influence me majorly,  and for the heaviness we are influenced alot by Fit For A KIng, Hand Of Mercy, Architects i could probably go on forever ahah. We like to make our Genre and be different.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

A mate of our Guitarist Zac asked him to sign his nipples but to say "Cockworks" ahahahaahah.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

We love them, anyway who puts in effort to view us and listen to our music we welcome with open arms and love greatly !! Thank you to everyone of our fans.

14. What do you think of our site?

I think its great, its awesome that you guys are giving publicity for bands, and thats one of the biggest things we need in order to progress !
