No Real Pioneers - Interview

IMG_5542

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Screamo band No Real Pioneers from Lithuania, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name of the band was inspired by a song called Pioneers by Bloc Party. The name means that what is believed to be a pioneer actually is not. Something came before it, something influenced it. It is kind of neglecting the meaning of the word "pioneer".

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It is interesting, inspiring, emotional and raw. It lets us express ourselves as we want.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Karolis and Gabrielius were playing together in other band before, but we met Lukas a bit later. He's our third drummer actually.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Too hard to name one, but if it has to be this way:

Gabrielius: Sons of saturn

Karolis: Touche Amore

Lukas: Pixies

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Everyday life, routine, people or nature that surrounds us. Basically everything. From art to global events or emotions inside.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was the biggest gig we ever had. It was in Vilnius, Lithuania in a club called New york. We supported a band called Get Your Gun from Denmark. It was magic moment when loads of people were singing along with us.

7. Where would you like to act?

Anywhere where people come to listen to us, to sing with us.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Basically poeple, bands that inspire us and we listen to or share the same mindsets. Good people.

9. Whom not?

Bad people.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Everytime we are on stage, no exceptions yet. But it starts to fade out after first few songs. Having supporting friends helps. We are not good at giving tips on it, as we experience the same. Just go with it and do what you feel.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Gabrielius: Touche Amore, Circle Takes the Square, Funeral Diner, Old Gray, Sons of Saturn Karolis: Jairus, Touche Amore, If These Trees Could Talk, Caravels, I Create, Indian Summer Lukas: Russian Circles, Cult of Luna, Mono, Deafheaven.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

The drummer always gets the same question after a gig: "do you play with double bass pedal?". In fact, he plays with a single pedal. And it is kind of weird for him.

13. What do you think of your fans?

It is one of two reasons we do gigs and create our music. The other reason is that we just love to play.

14. What do you think of our site?

It's huge! And great! Great place to find new bands to fall in love with

15. Something to add?

Just greetings to everybody who was interested in this interview and thank you for having us for it. I believe it will be our first show up in space abroad from Lithuania.
