Through The Silence - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore band Through The Silence from Portugal, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

It came out just like that, we had a lot of names written in a notebook and we ended up matching words from two or three of them and we got it together.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

We all played in other bands before and the only thing we had in common was that we wanted to play heavier music than our previous bands but still retaining the melodic touch.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Three of our members played in the same band before, as for the rest, we never spoke before despite the fact that we used to see each other at local gigs.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

We all like many bands but at the moment it's something like this:

André Lopes - Impending Doom

Pedro Freitas - The Sorrow

Vitor Parreira - Killswitch Engage

Edgar Fernandes - Caliban

Valente Fagundes - Scar the Martyr.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

We are inspired by our life experiences and everything that surrounds us.

6. Where was your last gig?  

In our hometown.

7. Where would you like to act?  

Pretty much everywhere.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We would be grateful to feature with everyone we get the opportunity to meet if given any chance!

9. Whom not?  

This one is tricky, we don't really know what to say.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Just a little bit of anxiety pre-gig from time to time, nothing serious.Nerves and anxiety may attack a couple of times, the best thing to do is having your work well done before the gig and maintaining confidence on the groups quality.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Killswitch Engage, Caliban, The Sorrow and Bullet for My valentine.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

Some girl screamed "bang me" at our singer during a gig.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

The best we could ever have.

14. What do you think of our site?  

It provides promotion and exposure to bands like us ,which is a great help, the presentation is good making it easy to navigate and access information.
