Autonomist - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Djent band Autonomist from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

The name originated from the word autonomous which means "Acting independently or having the freedom to do so" then we modified the word a bit : )

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We've all been really into the metal scene for as long as We can remember. Guess it's the one genre that really pushes our boundaries.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

We were all in previous bands in our town of Ukiah. Eventually those bands fell through then Autonomist was formed.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

We love many bands, such as, Tool, Meshuggah, Slayer...and many more.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We have tons of influences that inspire us including Soilwork, Meshuggah, Tesseract, Monuments and much others.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco,Ca in support of Tesseract/Cloudkicker and Intronaut.

7. Where would you like to act?

We would love to play any venues with killer PA systems and stages haha

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

One day we would wanna feature with Meshuggah!

9. Whom not?

We would be open to playing with whichever bands that like to have a good time!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright?

Stage fright only comes when we open for huge bands haha  My best tips on beating stage fright would be play as many shows as possible and frequently as possible. Because soon as you go months without playing in front of people it tends to comes back.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Soilwork, Meshuggah, Tesseract, Monuments and much others

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We haven't been out too long so haven't really had fans make weird comments just yet : ) we have really enjoyed the great comments we have receiver so far tho!

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love all 600 fans we have gained so far!!!

14. What do you think of our site?

We think the "Breathing the Core" site is extremely giving for promoting bands and gettin us out there. We appreciate y'all!!!!
