Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Post-Hardcore/Rock band Awake At Last from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Awake At Last as a name came to us kind of randomly.  When Eric and Vincent had decided that they really wanted to do music all out it was an awakening of sorts as they had both played in so many other projects before.  So Awake At Last seemed to fit.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

It comes naturally.  We love being high energy and we love a lot of the bands currently carrying the torch.  We also know our audience and feel our message is best delivered in our style.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We have all known each other for years.  Eric and Vincent formed the band in 2011 but had played in multiple projects beforehand.  We were all friends getting into this and as the team came together it was like a gathering of a bunch of great friends.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Tyler Greene: Hands Like Houses, Eric Blackway: Memphis May fire, A Skylit Drive, and Get Scared,  Bryan Mills: Dillinger Escape plan and Coheed And Cambria, Imran Xhelili: I The Mighty, Vincent Torres: Early AFI, The Used, Santana, Journey. This is a hard one as we all love so many different groups, but these are what we all listen to a lot currently.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Like many other artists I think we write songs because we truly love it and can't imagine doing anything else.  We also try to be inspirational to help our fans get through adversities that we've all faced in our lives.  It's the best way we know to actually make a difference.

6. Where was your last gig?

We played The New Brookland Tavern in Columbia, SC.  It was a great gig and we made a lot of great new fans.

7. Where would you like to play?

We are targeting the East Coast heading south currently.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We would love to play with so many different bands.  I'd love to play with Coheed And Cambria, I The Mighty, Taking Back Sunday, Get Scared, Set It Off, A Skylit Drive, Memphis May Fire— basically all the bands named above.  It'd be awesome to play with any of the amazing acts that are in the scene right now.

9. Whom not?

Honestly we're open minded enough to play with anyone, I suppose we usually avoid playing with bands who are extremely out of our genre but I'd like to think we can fit in a little bit everywhere.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I think a lot of us do a little bit.  I always say it like this: If you get nervous before you perform that's a good thing cause that means you love it.  And as far as facing it is concerned, the first step is the hardest but greatest step you'll ever take.  I faced off against my entire high school and have been doing it ever since.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

As a singer I grew up with the earlier AFI stuff into Sing the Sorrow.  I was a big fan of Finch, and I watched bands like Escape The Fate and The Used and My Chemical Romance grow and form up. I wasn't just inspired by the bands though.  I've always been inspired by the music scene as a whole. The fans inspire me the most.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We haven't had any overly weird requests, but if we do I'll let you guys know.

13. What do you think of your fans?

I love our fans more than anything.  As we're beginning to grow more we've met some amazing people and they are all huge inspirations to me.  They are some of the coolest and most interesting people I've ever met and they are the best.

14. What do you think of our site?

I think that it's an awesome outlet for bands like us who are up and coming in this new scene and that any site willing to be passionate about their bands is the best kind of site to be involved with.  We are absolutely honored to fill out this interview and get to be a part of it.  Thank you.

15. Something to add?

Awake At Last is slowly growing in the scene and we have some cool stuff up and coming.  Keep an eye out for our brand new music video for "King Of The World" which we will be releasing in February on the 24th.  It's a huge step for us and we can't wait to share it with the world.  Thank you guys so much for this opportunity and keep doing what you guys are doing because you guys are awesome!!
