Baby Dollz - Interview

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The band name came out because we wanted a powerful and feminine name and also attract attention. In that moment was when we think that "Baby Dollz" was the perfect name.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

The main motivation for playing this style of music is our musical influences. We wanted to create something powerful but that also could be heard and enjoyed by all the people, and, especially by us! That's so important.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, bassist and Drummer are sisters and lead guitarist and rhythm guitarist are sisters too, however, all of us are sisters.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

We can say names like: Metallica, Pantera, Megadeth. Because they are the pioneers in the metal but we try to keep an open mind and listen all kinds of music, bands, musicians, no matter the genre. That way we can learn many things. Sometimes you might miss wonderful things by being locked into a only kind of music.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Everything inspires us. We believe that everything around us is a motivating force to help us to create our music.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in Obregon, Sonora, México, and was terrific! Amazing!

7. Where would you like to act?  

Everywhere!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We would like to share stage with new bands and bands with long history. You can learn from all of them and take the best to keep growing musically.

9. Whom not?  

We should never be in denial to share stage or music with someone. We should always take the best from every experience.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

You never stop having panic scenic but you need turn that panic on adrenaline for not being betrayed by the nerves. Being confident of yourself and your talent is the best weapon. When you're on stage and play the first note of a song, fear disappears and happiness begins.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We think each band has something special that inspires us.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

For the moment, nothing at all.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

They are really amazing. Wonderful people, totally faithful to our music. They have supported us from the start and we are very grateful for that.

14. What do you think of our site?

It's amazing!  It's incredible that you give space on your page to the bands. It's a nice way to meet new talents around the whole world. We think it's great that exists this kind of sites where you can broadcast music and talent that surrounds the world.  It is a great opportunity for new bands to get noticed.
