My Ransomed Soul - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metal/Hardcore band My Ransomed Soul from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We kind of went back and forth on deciding a name when we first started. All the original members of the band came from a Christian background and we decided we wanted something that reflected our faith at the time. The band name “My Ransomed Soul” is actually a line from the old hymn “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing”.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We didn’t really intend on playing this specific genre when we first formed as a band. We always had a love for heavy music, but as time passed we slowly grew into this genre.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Garrison (guitar) and I are brothers. Hector (guitar) met us when he was playing in others bands from our local area. Fredy (drums) was a friend of Hector and decided to try out a little less than a year ago and just happened to fit in pretty quickly.

4. Each band member favorite band?

None of us really have a specific favorite band. We all have varying musical backgrounds and interest.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I think there are a large variety of artist that inspire us to write. Garrison and Hector write all the music while I write the lyrics. We all come together as a band and help rework the ideas we come up with and attempt to really perfect the sound we want to achieve.

6. Where was your last gig?

Last show we played was in Chambersburg, PA at a venue called the Breathing Room.

7. Where would you like to act?

We haven’t had a chance to make it to the west coast. We would love to make it out that way sometime soon.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We love making friends with the bands we tour with. Any band that is down to earth and willing to hit the road with us we would be happy to play with.

9. Whom not?

I personally can’t stand artist that have the “rock star” complex. No level of success makes you better than anyone else. As long as an artist stays level headed we are willing to work together.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I used to suffer from stage fright when we first started, but that was a long time ago. If you do anything enough you become comfortable with it. Just know your music and stay confident.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We pull from a lot of different inspirations. There really isn’t a specific artist or genre that inspires our sound. It’s more of a large combination of influences across various genres that have helped us develop over time.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing really comes to mind.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We are grateful for the support and love them for it. There is no better feeling than someone actually caring about the art you have created.

We think it’s a great and are thankful for the support.
