Interviews: Show Your Otherside

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Hardcore/Pop Punk band Show Your Otherside from Hungary, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It's just came but we can attach some things to the name. You know we started this as a pop punk/hardcore band so maybe these are the other sides of these genres that we wanted to show.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Our latest work is 'The Secret' this is the first released song of our upcoming full-length album. It's gonna be different than the other releases, we grown up and wanted to create more serious, more progressive music with more message.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I (Norbi) met with our bassplayer Adam when we were 10 years old, we started to play music together, after that we met our drummer Simon and we started Show Your Otherside. Simon's brother Fef has been the lead guitarist. I used to play the guitar but I only wanted to sing, so we looked for another guitarist, and we found her through my brother, she's Luca.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Simon - After The Burial, Suicide Silence

Fef - I The Breather, Dance Gavin Dance

Luca - Vanna, Obey The Brave

Adam - Architects, While She Sleeps

Norbi - Northlane, Structures

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

We got an all time favourite it's Four Year Strong. This band gives us the most inspiration to create music, and start the band. But there are a ton of things what inspire us, for example love, privacy, good and bad influences, delusions and successes

6. Where was your last gig?  

It was 12th of december in Budapest, Hungary with Vanna and Climates. It was awesome, I'm glad to met these people, they are awesome, crazy and kind!

7. Where would you like to act?  

We'd like to get to the USA or the UK anywhere but leave this country. This music scene is not so popular in Hungary, you can't fill the clubs full in a gig... Unfortunately...

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

There are a lot of good artists and singers all around the world, but I'd like to work with Brandon Padjasek of Structures or Adrian Fitipaldes or Sam Carter, they are amazing and it'd be awesome!

9. Whom not?  

The bands we don't like :)

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Man we always have stage fright, we don't have any tips how to beat that, but we think it's good :) Everytime before we start a show my knees are shaking but when we start it it's lost.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Four Year Strong, Architects, Memphis May Fire, Northlane - these bands gave us the most of inspirations.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We're fans are civilized or just shy haha. We haven't got weird asks. Yet.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love them, and thank God the number of them are growing. They are cultured, don't hurt each other in the pit, care each other and make an awesome morale while we do the show.

14. What do you think of our site?

It's a good idea to promote and support beginner and unknown artists, we need more people and pages like yours!
