Artemis - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Chaotic Hardcore band Artemis from UK, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
We're named after a Brothel Mike and Kurt discovered in Berlin when they got lost.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
We started out very different to what we are now. We feel there has been a natural progression to where we are now from various influences and being involved in different scenes whilst growing up.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Kurt (our Drummer) is the link between us all. He started the band with Mike years ago, then met Brandon and Jamie at College. Dan was a colleague of Kurt's at their old job.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Rolo Tomassi, Converge, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Chariot, Every Time I Die
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
I think we're just inspired by the joy of playing. We enjoy playing as a unit and I don't think any of us want that to change anytime soon. So yeah, I think inspiration just comes at it's best when you get the 5 of us in a room.
6. Where was your last gig?
Bolton.
7. Where would you like to act?
Any Major Festival I think really. Download, Sonisphere, Hevy, Reading, Leeds, Rock am ring, rock im park, Hell fest, groezrock, Sweden rocks, pukkelpop, wacken, summer breeze, just anything that gives us a good crowd where we can really enjoy ourselves to the full. Having said that, we have played some amazing intimate shows like at Power Lunches with The Catharsis, Palm Reader and Employed To Serve.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
I think this would be the same as Question 4 - if that was ever in the realms of possibility.
9. Whom not?
We just enjoy playing, I think the only time we don't have fun playing with another band is if there is quite a clear divide between us and their fans. Mixed bills can be good but you do need there to be a clear similarity. Only other time we don't enjoy playing with bands is if egos are involved; no one should forget their background, where they've come from or who's helped them get there.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
I don't think we have as a band as such. The worst thing like this is Brandon forgetting the song titles sometimes, so he gets worried when he can't remember how it starts.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Rolo Tomassi, Converge, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Chariot, Every Time I Die
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
We've had a UK fan make us Jewellery with our logo on it. We also had a Danish Girl make some Shoes with our logo on.
13. What do you think of your fans?
The fans keep us going so we are obviously very grateful for all the support we do get.
14. What do you think of our site?
Keep doing what you're doing fans. We have so much more to give.
