Bullets Of Misery - Interview

Bullets of Misery Fotopromo

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Trash Metal/Death Metal/Metalcore band Bullets Of Misery from Spain, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We wish we had a catchier with more background story to tell, but in the beginning in 2008 the band was a little bit more metalcore oriented, so we just brainstormed a bunch of names like that to end picking up the actual one.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

As we told, metalcore in that time it was a quite new and revulsive metal genre. We were all into metal, so we thought that we needed to enjoy and bring that to our language. Then, as a natural evolution, we turned to more extreme music like death metal increasingly pushing the brutality as far as our skills let us.

3. Where did you take the name of the ep/cd?

We like to put titles in Latin, just because sounds epic and creepy at the same time! The previous LP was named “Purificatio per Agone”. It meant something like “you have to suffer to get the glory” in a religious criticism context. “Summum post Mortem” is the next natural step where “you are in glory but are already dead”.

4. How many tracks does it have?

The Ep features the next 5 tracks:

01.- Bizirik Infernuan

02.- 1984

03.- Apokalipsiaren Lau Zaldunak ( http://youtu.be/jANgaqlL8tc featuring "Turri" - vocals from Thirteen Bled Promises)

04.- Aizkorak Hartu

05.- Egun Iluna

5. What can you say about the ep/cd?

For us, it’s been a great leap to more extreme and technical sounds, while the lirycs keep being critics to all kinds of control against people.

6. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We all come from a really small area where is impossible to not know each other. Specially metalheads or hardcore fans!

7. Each band member favourite band?

Lea (Guitar): Machine Head

Alonso(Guitar): Childrem of Bodom

Agony (Drums): Madball

Idurri (Vocals): Brujeria

Egia (Bass): Dying Fetus

8. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We actually listen to all kinds of music, so this is a huge source of ideas when composing. Talking about lyrics, that fucked up world we have it’s enough inspiration to blame everything.

9. Where was your last gig?

In Irun (Border between spain and france) on March 6th, with our fellas Dark Code.

10. Where would you like to act?

Our goal is to perform in Viveiro in the Resurrection Fest. We would love that.

11. Whom would you like to feature with?

Any of the bands we mentioned above or any big acts in general.

12. Whom not?

Actually, almost nobody. But we generally don’t like arrogant people around us…

13. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

It is not our case, but we have to say that is completely normal to feel overly nervous before getting to the stage. In fact, we believe that this thrill is a great booster!

14. What bands have inspired you the most?

Starting from all mentioned, any other band that we share scene with it’s a great inspiration (despite being metal, HC, rock, pop or whatever)

15. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Some time ago, it was a guy who was coming to one of our shows in his motorbike. It was heavy storm, and apparently he had an accident. He was a passionate fan, so he made it to the venue on time, but asked if he please could get it to the backstage to heal his wounds! Of course we helped him and shared some beers!

16. What do you think of your fans?

They are our main treasure! We like what we do, but we wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for their support. We owe them a lot!

17. What do you think of our site?

It’s great help for bands like us! We are extremely grateful to sites like breathing the core for letting us being featured. This makes the scene bigger and stringer, and its really admirable all that being done in a nonprofit way.

18. Something to add?

We encourage all people to give a chance and share if they like Bullets of Misery. We have to make our scene stronger everyday!
