Cold War Everyday - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Melodic Hardcore band Cold War Everyday from Germany, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Our first Bandname was hard to understand and we had disagreements over what should be the right name for months. When Tim and Matze listened to Birds In Row's - You, Me & The Violence for the first time, they felt related to the lyrics from the song “Cold War Everyday” immediately.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

It just came this way. We never planned our music or how it should evolve. Everyone in the Band has different backgrounds and preferences but in this Melodic Hardcore we come together to do something we all can relate to and feel passionate about.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Matze and Tim met at an old Disco right in front of our current rehearsal room called Bandhouse.They became close friends and our first drummer Fabian and Dennis joined us right when we moved in at the Bandhouse in 2011. It wasn't until early 2012 when we met Rico our current singer at a Ghost Inside Show in our City. After some Lineup changes we are now happy that our current drummer and producer, Nichi has become a part of our family last year.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Rico: The Life We Had

Matze: Carpathian

Tim: It Prevails

Dennis: Blink 182

Nichi: The Devil Wears Prada

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Well that's a pretty hard question to answer. Normaly we gather everything we can over the time we spend apart. When we come together to write songs the riffs that hit us the most become part of the new material.

6. Where was your last gig?

We played on the BirthdayBash of our bassplayer Dennis at a local Club called Frau Alles. It's called Frau Alles because next door lives a deaf old woman which name is Miss Alles and the doesn't care about the hardcore kids and the shows.

7. Where would you like to act?

Fluff, Groezrock, New Noise

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Capsize, More Than Life, Converge, Counterparts. Some of the most influential bands out there. Even if it's just a dream. It would be enough sharing the stage with them some time!

9. Whom not?

Definitly not with Heino.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Everyone had stagefright sometime and there are many ways to beat it. Drink beer, practice till your fingers, throat or hands start bleeding. Or just be fresh and edgy like Dennis and stay cool without beer and practice at all.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Carpathian, Landscapes, The Carrier, More Than Life, Defeater, Counterparts etc.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Are you really writing these songs by yourself?

13. What do you think of your fans?

The weird thing is, that we have all sort of fans. Metalheads, Oldschool Hardcore Fans, and the classic crossed arms, headnodding tough guy. But most of the time pretty normal people.

We like it to see the daily growing up of your site and the plenty of upcoming bands in all genres
