Only On Wednesdays - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Post-Metalcore band Only On Wednesday from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 2.Why did you want to play this genre?
It funny actually because our name is a Spongebob Square pants reference, Roman and I are the founders of this band and we just love that show. lol
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
I grew up on all sorts of music, Rock, polka, hair metal, thrash metal, you name it. I never really found out about core music until I was in 8th grade, ever since I just loved it! Only on Wednesdays is more or less a Post- hardcore/Metal-core band with some Death-core attributes that bands and our fans really seem to be into.
3.Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Chris Morales (bass) and I actually knew each other since we were in third grade haha, besides that.. Roman (drums/vocals) and I use to be in another band Called "Visions of Yesterday" and that's where we met, and I was aware of Dustin (second guitar) but the funny thing is we actually didn't talk until last year. Ryan (screams) we met from Dustin's ex.
4.Each band member favourite band?
Ryan’s Favorite Band is Chelsea Grin, Chris’s favorite band is Lamb of God, Roman’s favorite band is All Shall Parish, Dustin’s Favorite band is I See Stars and Mine is a tie between The Devil Wears Prada and Woe Is ME.
5.Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Our Music shares the general theme of Heartache, sacrifice, or revenge that of course being lyrically. When we write music, we usually like to think of different influences per song. I'm not a fan of sticking to one influence for an entire album lol. For instance, Our Song "And Her Name Was," is a mix of the old The Devil Wears Prada and Miss May I, Where as to our song "Pnn Tartar Sauce" has Early Post-Hardcore Elements along with Progressive and Modern Metal core.
6.Where was your last gig?
Our last Gig was at Centennial Bowling alley in Orland Park, Illinois. It may not be the nicest or most professional, but we had some of our best shows ever at that place! <3
7.Where would you like to act?
Warped Tour, Preferably in Tinley Park, Illinois but any will do haha.
8.Whom would you like to feature with?
We’ve played with phenomenal artist in our time and Just to name a few Aria Yavarinejad - For All I AM and Sean McColloch-Phinehas. Now I’ll name some we have not had the honor of playing with but would like to work with, Joel Birch- Amity Affliction, Adrian Saunders - Killing A Classic, Hance Alligood (ex Woe Is Me) and Bryce Kariger, Zach Johnson- I See Stars and Devin Oliver- I See Stars.
9.Whom not?
Who not is a very interesting question, I'm not trying to bash anyone here but we wouldn't work with Ronnie Radke .
10.Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
My very First show Was at my sisters sweet sixteen, I was a Little Seventh grader with a band of friends and covering ac/dc, metallica ,poison, and system of a down songs, I would get in people's faces and be crazy lol ever since, playing shows has never bothered me. We're known for our stage presence, not many bands in our scene that play core music don't really move. To anyone with stage fright I would have to say fuck the people giving you dirty looks, we all have to start somewhere. Honestly just be like your hero in the band you like, move around! Have a great time! DON'T GIVE A FUCK! You're there to play music and have a blast!:)
11.What bands have inspired you the most?
OF COURSE!!! lol The Devil Wears Prada, Asking Alexandria, Chelsea Grin, Born of Osiris, The Amity Affliction, Woe is Me, Miss May I, White Chapel, Like moths to flames, and many more!
12.What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
As For me and Ryan, we've had fans ask us for children and I’ve been asked for my hair before as well lol besides the usual hug or autograph nothing out of the ordinary yet! I love crazy people lol
13.What do you think of your fans?
WE LOVE OUR FANS!!!!! They are some of the most supportive and friendliest people in our lives! No one in this band has a perfect life, So it warms our heart when people message us, give us hugs, tell us how awesome we were, ask for photos, or just Befriend us! We love meeting new People!
14.What do you think of our site?
Your Partnerships are very impressive and you're a very kind guy we’d love to hear more from you soon
