The Alaskan - Interview

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
It's actually the title of a book in the original drummers home that we saw and got the idea from. Unfortunately we didn't get to read the book, however nothing is more brutal than the Alaskan wilderness.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
We all listen to tons of different things respectively, however one thing we can all get down with the heavy. We play what we want to hear!
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
We knew OF each other from former bands and the area, but not personally.
4. Each band member favourite band?
None of us have a complete and total favorite band, other than Kyle and Dalton who's' are The Last Ten Seconds of Life and Coheed and Cambria, respectively.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Everything and anything.
6. Where was your last gig?
The Champ in Lemoyne, PA with Animal and Revenant.
7. Where would you like to act?
Anywhere on the west coast and warm. We're tired of being cold.

9. Whom not?
There's nobody out there that we absolutely don't want to play with, lol.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Have a couple beers.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
All the bands we would like to play with, Haha.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
To sign a Jason mask for a Friday the 13th show.
13. What do you think of your fans?
Our fans are amazing, we love every single one.

It's a very solid site that gives good coverage!
