Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Post-Hardcore band Acres from UK, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Early on when the band was starting out Alex and John were driving back from rehearsal and passed a road called 'Longacres', they took the name from that. It doesn't have any particular meaning or connotation, it just fit.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

When we set out we didn't aim to play a genre. We had an idea of a vibe and feeling that we wanted to portray. We all listened to similar bands and had the same feeling about the kind of music we wanted to be making. The style that we winded up playing formed out of a mutual love of the music that we all shared.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Alex, John, and our ex-guitarist Tubb knew each other and started out jamming together. They rehearsed with a couple different drummers before Alex asked me to join. I've been longtime friends with Alex, and I knew Tubb from school. When we parted ways with Tubb at the end of 2013, Alex asked Theo is he knew any guitarists. Theo said 'I play guitar!', and we went from there.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Theo: Sigur Rós

Alex: Underoath

John: Deftones

Matt: mewithoutYou

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I think it's fair to say that anything can be inspiring. A feeling or emotion, a mood, something we hear or see, a relationship, loss, love, a bad day, a good day... That inspiration through the medium or our ability to put it across is the end result. On a personal level I like to feel inspired by what I'm doing, and use that to fuel my practice, my journey and creativity, that's where the best results are achieved.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was a while ago, 29/12/2014, in Torquay, England. We're currently working in preparation for entering the studio on March 28th, to record our debut album.

7. Where would you like to act?

We love to play anywhere. It'd be great to play some countries that we haven't yet, France, Spain, Greece. To get to Scandinavia, United States, and Australia would be a dream.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We love to play on the same bill as bands we like, we all have a very broad music taste, so we're open to anything. We get put on with post-rock, hardcore, metalcore, and it's good to get to see that variety. Last year we toured with Canvas and Echoes, it was a pleasure to watch them kill it night after night.

9. Whom not?

I don't know how to answer this one. I guess anyone that sucks, like Robbie Williams or something.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Alex has suffered from stage fright pretty bad. Once you start playing adrenaline kicks in, so the time it's most likely to happen is right before you start the set. There's always a chance to take a minute for a breather, and that's probably the best advice we can give. It's also a good idea to play some smaller shows first. If you gradually build up then when it comes to the bigger shows, you can handle it better.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

I'd say Underoath, Thrice, and Architects. All of those bands have had a big influence on us musically. We all have very diverse music tastes and listen to very different things, but those are the big 3 that we all share a love of.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

An autograph! It's weird for us when someone asks for one. We don't get asked often, but when we do we wonder why. It's cool, it means a lot to think that someone thinks that highly of us.

13. What do you think of your fans?

I'm sure every band says this but we literally have the best fans. They are the reason we do what we do. To know that there are people out there that are as passionate about our music as we are is incredibly inspiring. Our fans have shown us a lot of love in the time we've been a band, and we're forever indebted to them.

14. What do you think of our site?

By providing a platform for artists to share a closeness with those interested you're doing a brilliant thing. Also, it's great to see so many interviews.

15. Something to add?
