Cartographs - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Melodic Hardcore band Cartographs from Denmark, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
It represents our way to write music, a Cartographer must be very precise in his drawings of maps, the same goes for us. We love going into detail and thinking every song and lyric through to make sure it represents our emotions and goal with the particular song we a writing.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
It's a genre where you're able to do a lot of different things and the music can be very moving and it can touch your soul even though it is considered metal/hardcore and most people wouldnt connect that to delicate emotions and soul moving lyrics and melodies. You can really send a powerful message with this kind of music if the listener is in fact willing to listen.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Frederik, Caspar and Oliver used to play in melodic-tech-hardcore band. Due to certain creative diffenreces that band split up and Cartographs was formed.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Frederik: Sum 41, Heart in Hand, Trophy Eyes.
Anton: More Than Life, Being As An Ocean, Capsize.
Morten: Heart In Hand, Crooks, Nirvana.
Caspar: Wu-Tang Clan, Insomnium, Job For A Cowboy.
Oliver: Architects, Counterparts, Dead and Divine.

Everything inspires us to write songs, emotions, traveling and interactions with people.

Underwerket, Valby - 6th December 2014.
7. Where would you like to act?
ANYWHERE! The UK and USA is something we really wanna do though.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
SLAYER!!!
9. Whom not?
We don't care. Just as long as we get to play, and everything works out well.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
We all did in the beginning.
Just keep practicing your shit, so you're able to play it in your sleep and remember to actually enjoy your live performance as it goes by so quickly!

Bands like Acres, Heart in Hand and Being As An Ocean.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
This dude once said he wanted to invest thousands of money in us (DRUNK?)
13. What do you think of your fans?
They're fucking awesome! We know it's a cliché, but without them none of this would be possible. They're the reason we wanna keep writing music.
14. What do you think of our site?
It's really awesome! It's nice you have time to do this sort of support for many bands.
