Eridian - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Progressive Deathcore band Eridian from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

Our drummer Chris was looking for a name that was unique and something that just stuck with people once you heard it. "Eridian" was the former name of a moon now called Dysnomia. We all thought it sounded interesting and would fit whatever music we wanted to write.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Since we have so many influences, we wanted to combine all of those elements into something that was innovative and different from what everyone else is doing.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, most of us were in a band before Eridian, but we ended up changing the name and getting a new guitarist. Chris, Justin, and Lukas are all brothers and Isaiah and Gavin knew each other in 9th grade prior to forming the band

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Isaiah: Animals As Leaders and Chon

Gavin: Angel Vivaldi and Reflections

Chris: The Contortionist and The Last Ten Seconds of Life

Justin: Mr. Bungle and Lorna Shore

Lukas: Skyharbor and Corellia

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Listening to our favorite bands and wanting to create something that would connect to people on a personal level. It became an outlet for some of us lyrically.

6. Where was your last gig?  

10/17/14 at Amityville Music Hall with Lorna Shore, Refuge, Conqueror, and The Fallen Prodigy

7. Where would you like to act?

Europe, that's #1 for us.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Any of our favorite bands or bands that we listen to.

9. Whom not?  

Nobody, every band we've played with has talent.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Justin and Lukas have. The only real way to beat it is to take in all the adrenaline and energy and let it out for the audience to feed on.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

The Contortionist.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

Someone asked Gavin once "Aren't you the guitarist for Reflections?"

13. What do you think of your fans?

Anyone that supports us and takes the time to listen to us are the homies.

14. What do you think of our site?  

We think it's really cool that you give smaller bands a chance to voice their opinions and promote themselves.
