Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Melodic Hardcore band Just For Revenge from Spain, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Carlos: Marc, Cham and I previously had a band which is split in the beginning of the summer of 2011. As the summer went by we realised that we still wanted to play music together (there previous band was a six-piece), so I started singing (previously I only sung backing vocals) and we asked our friend Benja if he wanted to play bass. We felt like we were back to do things our way, so we decided to call it ‘Just For Revenge’.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

When we create music we don’t try to fit things into a particular genre. We are influenced by a lot of different bands and genres, so we just mix it all up the way it comes naturally. In fact, when people asks us for the genre we play, we never know what to say (we have punk beats, metal riffs, melodic stuff…), so we’ve decided to call it ‘Passionate Hardcore’, because it’s passion and instinct what drive us to create this kind of music. Definitely not metalcore as we’ve been labeled sometimes hahaha.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we’ve been friends for about ten years.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Cham: Currently I’m listening a lot to Trash Talk and No Bragging Rights

Carlos: It’s impossible to say one, so I’ll go for Alexisonfire, letilve., and Gallows.

Marcos: Atreyu, I Killed The Prom Queen, Rise Against

Benja: Architects

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We write about our own personal experiences and the way we feel or think. Everything is mostly personal.

6. Where was your last gig?

We played back-to-back days on a weekend, both in Madrid. The first one was with Vultures Overhead and Scream In Rage. The second one was with Brothers Till We Die and No Drop For Us. Today (March, 7th, I don’t know when will this be published) we play with The Amsterdam Red-Light District, a great, French band.

7. Where would you like to act?

Since we formed this band we dreamed of playing Resurrection Fest (in fact, we dreamed about it since we attended the festival in 2010, before the band was formed). Outside Spain it would be awesome to play Groezrock, Warped Tour or the Never Say Die! tour. Yeah, and some UK festivals like Slam Dunk, Reading or Download. Nothing big as you can see hahahaha.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Andrew Neufeld (Comeback Kid) or Wade MacNeil (Gallows, Alexisonfire).

9. Whom not?

Carlos: my mum, I listen to her while she sings in the shower and it’s awful hahaha

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Nope. We always feel kind of nervous before going on stage, but that is actually good. That nervousness turns into adrenaline as we step into the stage and that’s awesome because we have even more energy. That would be our advice: turn the nervousness into energy.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We don’t necessarily have to sound like them, but our main inspirations have been bands such as Comeback Kid, Alexisonfire, While She Sleeps, Stick To Your Guns, Verse…

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Carlos: I’m a guitar pick freak. I designed custom picks for our band even before we had our first single out. Well, some day (I don’t know how he found about us), there was a guy from USA who messaged us on Facebook asking how could he buy some picks. So yeah, we sold him like 12 picks and paid the gas to a gig with that money. It was pretty weird and cool at the same time.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We still don’t have such thing as fans, but that’s what we’re looking for with the release of our debut EP. Basically, we are thankful to everyone that spends any of their time giving us a chance. Nowadays with the huge amount of content and bands that you can find online it is a privilege if someone spends time to discover new bands like us.

14. What do you think of our site?

We think it’s absolutely awesome! It’s great to see people work to help small bands and trying to create a community. It’s something that should always happen and that sadly sometimes doesn’t. So thanks guys and congratulations for your site, it is amazing.

15. Something to add?

Not much. We just wanted to ask everybody to check our first single ‘Live The Live You Love’ and share it if they like it, so more people can know about us. Go to shows, buy merch to the bands that you like, don’t let anybody tell which band is good and which is not, let your own ears and heart decide and last but not least a big thank you to you for doing this interview and to anyone who is reading it.
