KDC - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Hardcore Punk band KDC from Puerto Rico, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We had no fucking idea what the hell we were doing. We were/are idiots. Our name makes no sense.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

When I started going to shows I really liked the way people reacted to certain bands. To me, it’s all punk. But the way they reacted to bands that had a faster and more abrasive demeanor was AMAZING. I told myself, “Whatever that is, I need more of it in my life; IMMEDIATELY.”

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

A few of us did. Out of the original line up, 3/5 are from the same neighborhood. Juan, David and I lived just a few streets from each other. The others were from neighboring towns.

4. Each band member favourite band?

I don’t know. I can speak for myself. Tropiezo, Bane, Beastie Boys, Descendents and a few others.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Juans’ riffs, family, friends, poverty, touring…… and bunch of other corny shit.

6. Where was your last gig?

Last one was in Lexington, Kentucky. We were on tour with a band from Michigan called Hollow Earth. I remember that Dead Icons, and Sirius Black played the show at Cosmic Charlie’s. It was awesome.

7. Where would you like to act?

In Emmure. I’d like act like I can actually play. Just strike the B string and get paid. Not too hard.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

With Jim Carrey. Wait! Now I wanna start a band and call it Jim Carrey On.

9. Whom not?

J-Lo. I can’t stand her shitty Spanish. It’s worse than mine.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Fortunately, nobody cares for KDC. Stage fright does not factor in; which is awesome. Also, we rarely play stages. If we do, it doesn’t matter because I take off my glasses and I can’t see shit. For those of you who DO get stage fright, I respectfully invite you to GROW A PAIR AND LET IT RIP.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Currently, the underdogs. And I don’t mean any of that Terror bullshit. I mean real underdogs. Bands screaming their heart out for golf claps. Bands that tour without the juiced up hype of a label and/or agents. Or have friends in high places that make things happen. I LOVE YOU GUYS. La Armada and Bleak.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Free merch. Please, stop. This shit is costing me money.

13. What do you think of your fans?

I love my dad.

14. What do you think of our site?

It’s awesome when people use their sites to expose new bands. I got nothing but love.
