Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Melodic Hardcore/Post-Hardcore band A Hero Named Coward from Italy, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name of the band came out a day, spent chatting on wich should have been the best name for us. “It sounds well” we thought. So we decided to keep it officialy. Later we discover that there's a curious story behind this name. Charles Coward, a second world war hero, known for his sacrifice due to save many jews from Auschwitz was called A Hero named Coward! So we're glad that's a story of courage and honor behind our name.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Because “metalcore” is the perfect combination of heavyness and melody, rythm and agressiveness. Also because is one of our favourite metal genres. Nowadays it's time for metalcore. Like in the 90's was time for grunge, and in 2000's was nu-metal. Metalcore has reached a good fame in theese years, and we're happy to bring ourselves in this genre, trying to create something different.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yep, all of us knew each other, except for nicolo' that was introduced to us by a former member.

We met all together for the first time, a day in 2013, spent in reharsal room jamming some ideas.

4. Each band member favorite band?

We have more than only one favourite band, but we're going to tell you the band that has been the most important for us, in theese last years.

Simone: A Day To Remember

Stefano: One Ok Rock

Luca: A Day To Remember

Alessandro: Upon This Dawning

Nicoló: Architects

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Personally I follow my mood. If i'm angry and frustrated is probable that i'll write aggressive lyrics.

The instrumental part comes out from Nicoló's brain! The rest comes out automatically once we've listened to the song for the first time.

6. Where was your last gig?

We haven't made our live debut yet. We're about to do it, on April 13th in Milan supporting The Royal.

We're going to give everything we have on that stage.

7. Where would you like to act?

My favourite place would be Wembley Stadium ehehehe! That's a dream, but honestly there are also places in Italy that we will be glad to act in. Like Alcatraz in Milan, Estragon in Bologna and also Vidia Club in Cesena.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Mmm… I don't know, maybe Sam Carter from Architects! Even Matty Mullins from Memphis May Fire. I think that tey're two of the best vocalist and frontman in the scene. A mix of talent and technique. Personally, the best feature will be Chino Moreno from Deftones, one of my idols!

9. Whom not?

Italian pop singers?! No, really. I don't bare italian pop music, it's alle the same, repetitive. Italian music is dead with Fabrizio De Andrè.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Just take a breath, go outside and kill it! You're doing waht you love, not what someone told you to do!

You have to play always at your finest! Being on a stage isn't a torture, it's a joy, a party. Amuse yourself and you'll surely amuse also the crowd.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

I think A Day To Remember and The Ghost Inside, but we are not a copy of nobody, we are simply us.

We take something that works in the scene, trying to renewate it, with our ideas and influences.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

I think someone who asked us to go playing in Indonesia!

13. What do you think of your fans?

We are still creating our fanbase, trying to get noticed as more as possible, but generally, fans are the real engine in a musician life. Fans are the beating heart of music, they support you, come to your shows, buy your merch, love your works. They're everything.

14. What do you think of our site?

That's a cool opportunity to get us known! It's a good way to give rookie bands a place they deserve!

15. Something to add?

Yep, thanks for this interview. For anyone who want to purchase our EP, you can find it on Itunes, Google Play, Amazon, or in free streaming on Spotify, Deezer and every other digital platform!
