Crisis In Vain - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Deathcore band Crisis In Vain from Italy, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Our first singer Lorenzo came up with the idea. We still don’t know the real meaning of the name, but we know Lorenzo would still keep it (unfortunately after a terrible incident he isn’t amongst us anymore). Thing is we immediately liked the name and will continue to keep it.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
Every member in the band listens to different music genres, but our favourite is what we play. This is why we do it: we love it, and is there anything better than playing what you really like? And as every musician knows, playing what you like and having great response from friends and fans is the way to go!
3.Did you know each other before the band was formed?
From the first band’s formation I am the only one left (Tommaso). All the other members I got to know them through the band, except for Federico (guitarist), who has been my buddy since kindergarden. We are all great friends now and I couldn’t ask for anybody better than them.
4.Each band member’s favourite band?
This is the tough question for every band, let’s try.
Josh: Fit For An Autopsy hands down.
Emanuele: Periphery and A Lot Like Birds.
Federico: Bring Me The Horizon and Architects.
Lorenzo: Volumes, but the correct question for him should be: “What’s your favourite band in this period”? Tommaso: Nero Di Marte and Amia Venera Landscape, two recent Italian bands wich for me are the best there is.
5.Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Honestly we just write what we like! Some riffs just came out of nowhere, others were a mix of many we have previously written. Same for the lyrics: we just write what we like and stick with it through the whole song.
6.Where was your last gig?
In Udine, at Cas*Aupa, with Deep Human Device and Veuve. Great bands and sweat venue. We had a blast that night.
7.Where would you like to act?
Anywhere actually. Every gig is a perfect occasion to have fun and most importantly spread our music with always new people hoping they like it
8.Whom would you like to feature with?
CJ from Thy Art Is Murder or a component from the Italian band Destrage. It would be so awesome!
9. Whom not?
We’re not picky to refuse a featuring with somebody.
10.Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Actually not that I can recall, you always want to do your best out on stage, but the importance of it is not to let the fright take away the fun. Our suggestion? Go out there and have the best time you can
11.What bands have inspired you the most?
As previously mentioned there are too many to answer this question. Everybody in the band has their own inspirations from different bands of different genres. If there is a riff we like from a song of our favourite band we might try to put something similar in our song. Although for one riff we may have kept it the same as the band we got it from. Who will find it?
12.What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
At a concert in Gorizia years ago, a drunk man from the crowd kept offering Tommaso his beer. Too bad Tommaso doesn’t drink. At first it was funny, but after a while the man started getting annoying
13.What do you think of your fans?
Our fans are the best, at every concert they always come to have fun with us, and give us the opportunity to play around and to do what we like best. We hope to reach people further away from Italy so that Crisis In Vain could get bigger and our music listened and liked.
14.What do you think of our site?
There aren’t many sites like yours that talk some much about “core” music, and that’s awesome. Great work on the site, even graphically it’s really cool! Really well done!
15.Something to add?
Come by on our facebook, instagram and especially our youtube page. We’re working on some new covers and our own music video, so stop by and share the word if you like us. Thanks for this opportunity, CIV
