Obscurities - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Melodic Metalcore band Obscurities from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE.  All the questions have been answered by Jeff, the only member now on this band. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

Well in the beginning we were supposed to be a flat out Christian band and anyone looked at us  (The original members) would have never expected we were a christian band, and we thought that was pretty obscure so we called ourselves Obscurities.

2.Why did you want to play this genre? 

Metal was an outlet for us to vent. We put all the emotion into what we wrote and that seemed to be the only genre to fit us.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

Half of us knew each other the other half didn't.

4. Each band member favourite band? 

I (Jeff) am the only announced member in this band right now and my favorite band is Being As An Ocean or The Amity Affliction

God, I feel that my passion is powered through his voice and his voice is my music.

6. Where was your last gig?

Reverb. With Black tongue, Gideon, and Lifeforms.

7. Where would you like to act? 

The Silo. I really miss that place; It was probably my favorite venue to play before it was shut down.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

Our original bassist Jade, and she beat it through experience and playing out more.

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Gideon, Being As An Ocean, The Amity Affliction, Hotel Books.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

HEY! Can I buy your hotel room for the night!? (When we were on tour) Hahaha, We slept like babies though!!

13. What do you think of your fans? 

Literally everything. Our fans were our family. Theres nothing I wouldn't do for them.

14. What do you think of our site?

I think this is a pretty awesome website! You guys feature some awesome bands and give a lot of bands a chance to get their music in front of more people!

15. Something to add?

Be on the lookout for our new project under a new name, continuing Obscurities origional sound. With Jeff on guitar, and other members to be announced. We plan on releasing new material mid summer of 2015. Thanks for taking an interest in us!
