Thrones - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Melodic Hardcore band Thrones from UK, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name "Thrones" is something that just sort of happened! We had been discussing for months what to call ourselves. After many (rather awful) ideas we eventually just landed on it. everyone loved it so it stuck!

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We never initially started out to play this exact genre of music. We are influenced by so many bands and each individual in the band brings a different influence. We wrote a couple of 'forced' songs and we liked them until we wrote "Cities Burn" and then that all changed. It was an extremely natural progression and we all knew that this was the direction we wanted to go in musically.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes and no. A couple of us have known each other for years but Tom had moved down here from Cumbria and wanted to start a band when he met Oli through a friend

4. Each band member favourite band?

Lewis - The Ghost Inside
Tom - Alkaline Trio
Beasley - Arizona
George - Jawbreaker
Oli - Malevolance

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Lyrically it's usually if something evokes a strong emotional response, positive or negative, that's when the ideas start flowing.

6. Where was your last gig?

We haven't actually gigged yet as Thrones! We have literally spent the last year writing our debut EP "Distance" - it was a long road to get here!

7. Where would you like to act?

Im certain i can say we would all love to play the Main stage at Download Festival or Brixton Academy.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We would be honoured to play with any of our favourite bands or any band with the same passion as ourselves.

9. Whom not?

Perhaps a band of a different genre where we wouldn't fit into their show.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

If your not a little nervous, you don't care enough about what your doing. You should be proud of everything you have achieved and play for yourself and your bandmates everything else is a bonus.

Beasley - Confession
George - Into it. Over it.
Oli - Caliban

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

One of our friends asked us to play at his wedding but his wife wouldn't allow it!

13. What do you think of your fans?

Its only been a couple of weeks since our release but everyone has been so supportive and we have had a lot of positive reaction from our single 'Cities Burn'.

14. What do you think of our site?

We think its an amazing site giving bands an opportunity to be showcased and promoted on a global scale. Promoting the smaller bands is really great to see.
