Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Hardcore/Easycore band Deeper By The Day from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The band name actually came from a Neck Deep song. The song Kick It starts off with the line "This hole is getting deeper by the day". I had written a list of band names and most of them had come from lyrics from bands that I listened to frequently and Deeper By The Day was one that we all liked and decided to make our band name.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

All of us grew up loving punk music and idolizing bands like Blink 182, Sum 41, Green Day etc. In my high school days I started listening to heavier music like Underoath, A Day To Remember, Asking Alexandria etc. and joined a hardcore band, that's where the hardcore influence in our music comes from. Now punk is coming back in a big way with great new punk bands and we wanted to be a part of it!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, Gary and I are brothers, Cavs is Gary's best friend, and Matt is Gary's friend from college. So Gary had put the band together with his great connections haha.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Tyler- The Story So Far, Neck Deep, Sum 41, Blink 182, Bowling For Soup, Four Year Strong

Gary- Nirvana, Neck Deep, Bad Rabbits, Bowling For Soup, Sum 41, Vanna

Cavs- The Matches, Neck Deep, The Story So Far, Bowling For Soup, Taking Back Sunday

Matt- Blink 182, New Found Glory, Neck Deep, Taking Back Sunday, Coheed and Cambria.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

What really inspired me to write these songs lyrically were the struggles I had faced the past few years. The past few years were pretty much the worst years of my life and I had struggled with Depression and Anxiety. The songs also have to deal with nostalgia, overcoming obstacles, and staying strong through all the bad that life throws at you. Musically, the songs are heavily influenced by great bands like Neck Deep, The Story So Far, and Four Year Strong.

6. Where was your last gig?

Sadly, we haven't played a show yet because we really wanted to focus on releasing this EP and getting these songs as tight as possible.

7. Where would you like to act?

Wherever the punk scene and strong and fans of ours want to see us play!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We would love to open up for Neck Deep or The Story So Far because we're huge fans of both of them.

9. Whom not?

We respect all bands that are playing music, regardless of whether we're fans of their music or not so there's not any bands I can think of that I wouldn't want to be featured with. In music, we should all support each other.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I definitely have in the past. I actually started out as a drummer in a punk band and I would always be sweating bullets before going on stage in the beginning. Then later on when I had become the vocalist for a hardcore band, I got even more nervous because now I knew I was in the front center. I believe being nervous prior to performing on stage is a good thing because it means you care about sounding the best you possibly can for people. The best thing to do is to believe in yourself, believe in your music, and believe in your band.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

All of the bands I've mentioned before are huge inspirations for our music.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Our fans are always really supportive and we haven't had any strange requests yet but I hope that we get one soon so we can have the story to tell haha.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are the best people in the world in my opinion. We faced many delays while recording this EP and our fans had always stayed patient. We're always very appreciative of the fans that download our music, share our music for others to see, leave comments on our pages etc. A fan has even covered our song Dynamics acoustically and posted it his instagram page which was amazing to see! It's the support from our fans that keep us motivated and keep us inspired to write more music and we love every single one our fans.

14. What do you think of our site?

I love the site and I love what you guys are doing. Bands need all the help and support they can get and I appreciate what you guys are doing for up and coming bands. We were so stoked to see that pages were sharing our EP and we thank you guys for sharing our EP on your page and doing an interview with us. You guys are awesome!

15. Something to add?

I just want to give a huge thanks to anyone who's supported our band, especially the ones that have been around since the beginning and were jamming to our demos. We think the world of you guys and we hope this EP was worth the wait! Also a huge thanks to Chris Piquette at No Boundaries Studio for recording our EP the right way and making us sound tight and Marcus Casey for doing our incredible album artwork. Thanks again guys!
