Guilty Act - Interview

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Kurt- We had gone through a few name changes and we got to the point where we got pretty stuck on a name. Then one day Shea our bassist came up with Guilty Act and we were all like yeah that's the one.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
Kurt- We are huge fans of all different types of music and deathcore is the one genre we can all click to when playing as a group.
Andrew- Have always listened to heavy, technical music so was great to find a group of boys to jam with
Shea- because my parents hate it
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Evan-We all knew a few of each other and all became friends within ourselves
4. Each band member favourite band?
Alex- Devildriver
Kurt- While She Sleeps
Evan- Traitors
Andrew- Periphery
Shea- Parkway Drive
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Kurt- Our music is inspired by many things that happen in our lives, we all work together and try to make the best music we can.
Evan- I use music , as an outlet , for lots of my negative emotions
Andrew- haven’t personally written songs, but anything we hear in songs, whether it be a guitar riff or a drum lick, definitely influences how we write
6. Where was your last gig?
Evan- House show at our bass players
7. Where would you like to act?
Kurt-It would be awesome to head over to America and play where our favourite bands have performed .
Alex- Download Festival
Evan- Indo and 'merica
Shea- Would love to play in indonesia but impericon is probably my dream show
Andrew-Rosemount, would love to get some recognition over there
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Make Them Suffer, Parkway Drive, Northlane, I,Valiance

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Andrew-Never saw the stage as something to be afraid of, the people are there to support you and listen to what you have to give. Tip: Something WILL go wrong for the first few times you perform so just remember to have fun and give it your best!
Evan-Just treat it like a jam and have fun !

Parkway Drive, Animals as Leaders, Blacktongue, Periphery
13. What do you think of your fans?
Andrew-They’re awesome! Hope they’re keen for some upcoming releases
Shea- Im the bass player i don’t have fans
14. What do you think of our site?
Kurt-It's a rad site to discover some new bands and to get your music out as well.
Alex- I like the site man look good and is interesting

We will be recording our EP over the next couple of months that we have been working really hard on.
