Mayfair - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore band Mayfair from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

We wrote down a list of names and Mayfair stood out to us the most. Mayfair is actually a street I (Neythan) used to live on.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

I really enjoy the rush and aggression as well as how passionate this genre can be.  I feel like it's very easy to spread messages and feel a connection with people.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Alonso Kevin and I knew each other before the band was formed and we were a 4 piece with ex member Billy until we met Corey after our set on the Queen Mary in 2013. Then we met Skyler through Corey. Skyler was in Corey's last band.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Alonso- Refused

Kevin- Queen

Corey- AFI

Neythan- The Used

Skyler- Iron Maiden

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

It doesn't take much to inspire me to write songs. I think we are all pretty much writing nonstop. I like to write lyrics when I start thinking too much or feel anxiety.

6. Where was your last gig?  

We last played Spring Breakdown Festival at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena  on April 25th

7. Where would you like to act?  

Literally anywhere I'm blessed that I get to step on any stage in general.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Pretty much anyone. I enjoy featuring with other bands A LOT. Hopefully I will get many more opportunities to work with other bands and be lucky enough to feature on their material.

9. Whom not?  

I doubt I'd ever turn anyone down if they asked me to feature with them.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

I am nervous before every show but I keep in mind that once I get that adrenaline rush i get on stage it's all gone an I'm in the zone doing what I love to do. I'd just say take a deep breath drink some water and get yourself pumped and go out there swinging.

Like Moths To Flames  Born Of Osiris  Memphis May Fire  Volumes Chelsea Grin  Woe Is Me  The Ghost Inside

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

I haven't been asked anything too unusual yet. None that I can think of.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

They're incredible! They're full of energy and support! Hopefully I get to meet more of them !

14. What do you think of our site?  

I think it's an awesome site! It's a great source for people and bands to hear about different bands and give them exposure as well as some new music to listen too.
