Recruits - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Alternative Rock band Recruits from UK, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

There was no specific reasoning behind the name, it was just one that we liked the sound of and suited the sound we were aiming for.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

We didnt really set out for a specific genre, the evolution of the band so far has taken us to this point, we play music that comes to us, we dont try and tailor our sound to fit a genre, if it sounds good to us, we just play it.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Both Steve's were on the same teaching course, and Jonno was friends with Steve Dean Smith before that.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Steve Dean Smith - U2

Ben Yarrow - I dont have a favourite just lots of bands from numerous genres.

Eddie - Deaf Havana

Steve H - ACDC

Jonno - between 30 Seconds to Mars and Foo Fighters

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our inspiration comes from experiences or emotions relating to specific parts of our lives.

6. Where was your last gig?  

The last gig was at Cafe Indie in our hometown of Scunthorpe, beautiful place... The cafe not the town.

7. Where would you like to act?  

Our big goal to reach next is to perform at a festival. Leeds or Reading would be amazing.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

We've all got personal preferences on who we'd love to feature with, some of the big bands going at the minute like Imagine Dragons or Kings of Leon would be mind blowing.

9. Whom not?  

We'd play with anyone, unless there was a Recruits tribute band... that'd be a bit weird.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Everyone gets stage fright, that adrenaline rush you get as you step on stage never goes, you just learn to handle it over time, its all part of the buzz. For beginners we'd say, embrace the fear, get on there, own it. Its your stage, so dont be afraid of it!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

We all have a similar outlook on music, we're open to all genres and can appreciatte music in all forms, the insperation comes from wanting to show our music to the world, the bands that have done that are our insperation.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

I dont think fans have ever asked us for something weird... overall the weirdest thing happen to us was a guy threw his mums knickers at Steve, our bassist... Pretty weird.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

Theres not a lot of them but they are fantastic, sticking with us for our re-moulding process was tough but theyve held on. We hope we can repay the faith with our music.

14. What do you think of our site?  

Your site is great, giving more people the chance to get a look at unsigned bands, and giving us a chance to talk!
