Square Head Killers - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Rock/Hardcore sband Square Head Killer from Spain, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
The idea for the band name came along at the same time as the band was forming. We knew we wanted to create something fresh, innovative and a little weird. So, one of the fist days we ever met as a band, even before having a drummer we came up with the name for the band and also the band logo and image.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
We don´t really know what genre we play.Every member of the band has his own musical background and the idea always was to mix up every influence into something special and tasty. That´s why we also sing in both Spanish and English, every melody gets it´s special flow depending on the language.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
We knew each other and some of us had even played together in different earlier projects aswell.
4. Each band member favourite band?
The Mars Volta, Glassjaw, Korn, Between The Buried And Me and Meshuggah.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
We believe music is an inspiration on itself, getting to expand creative borders is also a really interesting sensation. The need to get somewhere else....
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last gig was in Madrid, at downtown venue Sala Barco
7. Where would you like to act?
Anywhere far from Spain, we would love it ....
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Any of the bands we mentioned above, really any big band from the spectre of our influences, even with dead members on them. We would be crazy if we didn´t want to feature with The Beatles
9. Whom not?
There´s too many empty music being played out there, not only mainstream, music made and developed in a factory, heartless. We wouldn´t like to be involved with that
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Not really (hahah)!! We love playing music live, it´s a really special felling. It can be frightening sometimes the few seconds before the show starts but since it blows you start flying .... We think hard work and confidence in your style and creativity is the best stage fright medication. Anyway, if you didn´t get those nerves before the show starts which is the meaning of all this
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
To the bands we mentioned above you could also add Madball, At the drive in, Periphery, Puya, Chon, Norma Jean Protest the Hero,Fabulosos Cadillacs, Mogway, Letlive.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
He didn´t really ask for it, he just grabbed a mike and started barking hahahhaha. Hard time for us to recover the mike but it was fun!!
13. What do you think of your fans?
Our fans make hard times easier and happy times sweeter. Beatifull things are being sayed about our recently released E.P "Son(g)s of the revolution" we fell very proud that our weird approached to music is being so nicelly accepted.
14. What do you think of our site?
You make a great job promoting upcoming bands form all around Europe, musicians and listeners are very lucky having people like you that believe in our passion as much as we do!! Thank YOU!!!
