Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Djent/Post-Hardcore band The Apprehended from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The band name honestly comes from a bit of juvenile delinquency involving Matt, our bass player, and one of our former members. Incredibly stupid decisions were made and they ended up in police custody. You live and you learn right? A friend of the band's had mentioned naming the band The Apprehended as a poke at the incident, and it has stuck around.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We've gone through a couple of line-up changes throughout our history as a band and our sound has further evolved with each change. It's gone from a very Breaking Benjamin-esque radio rock sound to what we feel is a unique blend of metalcore, progressive metal, dare we say “djent," and post-hardcore.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Matt (bass) and Michael (vocals) have known each other since the summer right before they both started High School. Matt and Austin (guitar) pretty much grew up together living right down the street from each other, but Austin grew up as Matt's little brothers friend and it wasn't until Austin was in High School that he became closer to Matt. Austin and Josh met each other through mutual friends and formed a thrash metal band together back in the day, which eventually crumbled and they were absorbed into the ranks of The Apprehended.Through some mutual friends and a couple shows together we all met Jade (guitar/vocals) with his former band. We had a spot in our line-up open up and Jade expressed interest so we brought him on. With the current line up as stacked as it is we feel as though this is the line up The Apprehended was always meant to be.

4. Each band member favorite band?

Michael – The Gorillaz

Matt – The Used/My Chemical Romance

Jade – Pierce The Veil

Austin – Coheed and Cambria

Josh – Dance Gavin Dance

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

What inspires us most is attaining a sense of accomplishment: creating the best pieces of art we can and being told that it is worth someone's time to experience it. That they want to experience it again. Being able to bring our craft to dozens of cities and hundreds or thousands of people for them to appreciate is humbling. That we're a tiny, working cog in a wonderful industry that respects us as much as we respect it. That what we're doing matters and helps people and isn't a waste of time. That's what inspires us to write music.

6. Where was your last gig?

April 9th Pour Larry's in Savannah, GA

7. Where would you like to act?

I'm taking this question as "Where would you like to play?” We have never played west of Alabama/Memphis, TN or Romeo, MI. We want to get out into new territory very soon. So when you ask “Where would you like to play?” the answer is anywhere and everywhere we haven't played before. We are chomping at the bit to go out and chart new territories and play to new faces.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

As a band we have a multitude of people we would like to feature and have a feature with. For a specific example, Matt thinks we should do a cover of “Ain't No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye featuring Lyndsey Gunnulfsen of PVRIS.

9. Whom not?

With all of our diverse influences and taste, we wouldn't rule anyone out as a possible collaboration.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Everyone gets a little stage fright and it never goes away completely. Every show is a new experience and you can't truly prepare for that.   Advice for beginner - getting butterflies before your set is normal, but don't mix that up with being nervous. If you love what you do and have poured your heart and soul into your music there's nothing to be afraid of because you're showing people your art; you're showing people what's inside you and that's nothing to be ashamed of or nervous about. Ainters gonna aint no matter what. Turn your amp up louder than them and keep rock & rollin.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

As this group of musicians, we draw inspirations from everywhere. We get inspired by bands like Periphery, Pierce The Veil, letlive, and Our Last Night just as much as we do from The Gorillaz, Rush, or Louis Armstrong.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Matt has always kept some form of facial hair ever since he was able to grow it. We had a fan in the early stages, who was also a close friend, ask for Matt's beard after he shaved it off. Matt obliged and a little ball of his beard lived in a Zip-loc baggy tacked to his wall for almost a month.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love every single one of our fans. Without them, where would we be? We understand that its our fans that keep this thing afloat. We typically find our fans and find some way to turn them into friends and family. Just the other day the five of us took time out of our practice day to visit a friend/fan thats been with us for a long time that was hospitalized. He had been hit by a car while riding his motorcycle and has 4 pins in his leg, rendering him bed ridden in our small town local hospital. He was miserable and we went and spent some time with him to help lift his spirits and smash his boredom. He's an awesome guy and we'll be visiting him again soon.

14. What do you think of our site?

We are always hyper appreciative of any interview opportunity thrown our way, so for that we thank you very much. Sites that take the time to cultivate the culture of the local/ regional/ mid-level bands mean a lot to us. Sites like yours help spread the word about a band that might not be touring the nation and playing to 1,500 people a night yet. Your site and those like it help build the strong foundations with which a lot of bands build there careers from.
