Uncharted Skies - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Hardcore/Metalcore band Uncharted Skies from Singapore, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

Uncharted Skies was supposed to be the title for our debut EP that we've been working on late early 2013. We couldn't come up with any better names so we've decided to just put Uncharted Skies as our band name.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Everyone in the band is a fan of metalcore/hardcore music. We figure that it's best that we play the genre that we all love in common.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

We knew each other from mutual friends in the underground scene.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Hakeem (vocals) - Counterparts

Redza (guitar) - The Devil Wears Prada

Bryan (guitar) - Miss May I

Khairul (bass) - Defeater

Haziq (drums) - While She Sleeps

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Our songwriting are mainly influences from The Devil Wears Prada, Miss May I and For The Fallen Dreams.

6. Where was your last gig?  

We are having our debut gig on the 9th of May

7. Where would you like to act?  

Rock AM/Warped Tour

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

The Devil Wears Prada

9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Just enjoy the music that you are playing on stage. Move to the song and the audience will enjoy as well.

10. What bands have inspired you the most?  

The Devil Wears Prada, The Plot In You

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

We don't have a fanbase. We just have a lot of friends that enjoy our music and the same genre as us.

12. What do you think of your fans?  

If we have fans, we'd think they're really an amazing bunch of people and thanks for supporting us.

13. What do you think of our site?  

We feel that Breathing The Core is really a great site to promote bands that are trying to grow and reach out to the rest of the world. We love what you are doing and we hope the rest will do as well. Honestly, we never thought that we'd get featured on BTC and getting interviewed. It's really a great honour and we're really grateful about it. Thank you so much for this opportunity!
