Change Is - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metal/Hardcore band Change Is from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

The name Change Is came from the idea of trying to sound and be different. We wanted a name that didn’t sound like a bunch of angry kids that were pissed off. The first band name we chose was To Rise and Fall and it just didn’t click so we went with Change Is. The name is a play on words so I guess it worked out well.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?  

It’s the easiest genre for expression, and it allows us to not hold anything back.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Yeah, we were all a part of the same friend group. Jeff and Dillon were great friends, Calvin was a good friend as well, and Ben played bass in a pop punk band that we always hung out with.

4. Each band member favorite band?  

Ben- Knuckle Puck

Jeff- Yüth Forever (Villains)

Dillon- Yüth Forever (Villains)

Calvin- Silverstein

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

We write about real issues that have made themselves known in our lives and try to tell a story through our songs. Hopefully, the stories we’ve told have made an impact on people who listen to us.

6. Where was your last gig?  

Our last gig was May 31st, our CD release show in our hometown. We had Yüth Forever (Villains) play, and it was our tour-homecoming show.

7. Where would you like to act?  

Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA

8. Whom would you like to feature with?    

We think it would be awesome to work with Chris Roetter from Like Moths to Flames.

9. Whom not?          

Chad Kroeger of Nickleback or Nicki Minaj

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Not terribly. We just get on stage and do our thing. A tip for beginners, just remember that people go to shows to see bands, and you’re a band, so don’t worry, they’re there to see you!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Musically, Barrier, Yüth Forever, Sworn In, etc. But other than that, every band we’ve played with and became friends with inspire us.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

Once a girl came up to our vocalist after our set and offered him $10 to sing to her. He declined.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

Our fans are the best. Every time we play they make us feel so loved and appreciated. The amount of support we’ve gotten recently has been unreal. Thank you all.

14. What do you think of our site?          

It's awesome! We have found some great bands on this site they we are getting into!

We’re so excited to have released “Insomnia” now, the songs are about real issues. Hopefully our music can help.
