Diminish In Eternity - Interview

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?    

The original name before "Diminish in Eternity" was Hopeless in Hate. We kinda planned it for a few days but after a few weeks we all decided to change to something brutal sounding so we thought of a name that would have three words and their initials would make the word DIE so we all agreed on names us Diminish In Eternity.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?    

The reason why we wanted to play this genre/sub-genre (deathcore) is because the original founders of this band (Fernando G. & Carlos A,) both liked the same style of music and wanted to play the same genre.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?    

No. Fernando (vox) & Carlos (guitar) meet in physics class in high school when they joined a group for a project. Months later, Vincent (drummer), meet Carlos over facebook and met up in person a week later.

4. Each band member favourite band?    

Rings of Saturn, Gojira, Rings of Saturn.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?    

The fans inspires us to create music because they support us at shows.

6. Where was your last gig?    

Our last gig was at Seaport Marina Hotel, Long Beach, CA (Hydra Lounge)

7. Where would you like to act?    

We would really like to perform at the House of Blues, Glass House, Whiskey a Go Go! wherever many people go to!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

We would like to feature with Rings of Saturn, August Burns Red, Traitors.

9. Whom not?  

Pierce The Veil/ post hardcore (emo stuff).

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

At our first show, Carlos' was nervous to play that we was holding his guitar pick so tight he almost broke his strings. He also dropped the pick after the first song xD. For all of you beginners just focus on the performance and dont try to focus on surroundings. The first gig is the nervous one!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?    

The Faceless, August Burns Red, Rings of Saturn, Infant Annihilator...

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

"Can i play the triangle in your band?"

13. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are the coolest people at shows, not only ours but everyone's. Their support help bands expose themselves!

14. What do you think of our site?    

Breaking The Core is an amazing site because they help bands with promotions. BTC is incomparable!
