Obsolete Incarnation - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Brutal Death Metal/Grindcore band Obsolete Incarnation from Germany, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Our drummer came up with it an we all thought that's a cool name, let's do it.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

We don't make songs and say it has to be this genre or we have to play it in this specific way. We all have our influences and we just jam and mix everything up and when we think it's cool we have a new song. So we make the music we want to play.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Some of us knew each other before the band started, but basically we all joined the band successively.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Ok, we'll try to break it down to 2 bands each:

Kai: Aborted & Cannibal Corpse

Martin: Aborted & The Black Dhalia Murder

Sven: Korn &Job for a Cowboy

Jens: Misery Index & Defeated Sanity

Marius: Vader

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Most of all other music. Whatever we hear during song writing influences us each in various ways. Our lyrics are influenced by movies, news and all the other shit that happens everyday in our fucked up world.

6. Where was your last gig?  

Our last show was at a small place in Göttingen (Germany). We have never played in this region before and the responses where really good.

7. Where would you like to act?  

In this year we play at one of our favourite festivals, the "Death Feast Open Air" in Germany. We really would like to play overseas at Maryland DF or Las Vegas DF for example. But who knows maybe one day we will make it there.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

We played with a lot of great bands in the past but sharing the stage with Aborted or Dying Fetus would be awesome.

9. Whom not?  

There is no particular band we don't want play with. But if you want a name: Helene Fischer (really awful german schlager music singer)

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Not really stage fright. Well sometimes you get a light tingle minutes before the show, like getting a bit nervous because you just want to play. But when we play the first few notes all that disappears.  And to others: Practice, practice, practice. If you you know how to play your shit and you are operation well together you got nothing to be afraid of. And don't care if you play some wrong notes, most (nearly all) of the audience won't notice anyway.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Aborted, Misery Index, Dying Fetus, The Black Dhalia Murder, Ingested and much, much more...

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

Nothing really weird has happened 'till now. Or at least we didn't consider it weird.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

We are really thankful for anyone who likes our music, comes to our shows and goes nuts or supports us in any way. Without those people we are nothing.

14. What do you think of our site?  

It's great. We really appreciate anyone who takes the time and supports bands by blogs, fanzines, facebook-fanpages or whatever else. It's awesome to see that so many people want to get involved with the music and help each other. Keep it up!
