Past Year - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Pop-Punk/Post-Hardcore band Past Year from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We honestly just wanted to come up with something that sounded appealing, so our guitarist Miguel came up with the idea. Ever since then we decided to stick to it.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

I feel that there's a lot of energy involved in the genre, I just love music that makes you want to move and catches your attention at the same time, so that's mainly why we chose it.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Well I met Miguel (guitarist) and Alex (drummer) through an old project we were working on with other members. Things didn't work out, so we decided to start something new and here we are.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

I love me some A day to remember. Alex's favorite band is Texas in July, and Miguel's favorite band is For Today. Which by the way are also great bands in my opinion!

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

I'd say events in life inspire me, it just really depends on what I feel when I write.

6. Where was your last gig?  

We haven't played shows as a band yet, but we hope to do so soon.

7. Where would you like to act?  

I'd say Chain Reaction since it was the first venue I went and heard bands perform.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

There's a lot on my list, but I'd say Seasons Change. I love their music.

9. Whom not?  

I don't think there's any band I wouldn't want to feature with.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

All the time to be honest, but in order to get over stage freight you just have to do what you have to. Be positive and know that some people will like your music, and others won't.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

There's a lot of bands that inspired me, but to keep the list short: Blink182, Greenday, Four Year Strong, A Day to Remember, In Her Own Words, and many more.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

I can't really recall, but I'm sure there's something weird for sure.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

If we have fans, then we love you all! A band is nothing without a fan base, so thanks for any of you who support us.

14. What do you think of our site?  

I honestly dig the website, I'm so glad there's people that are willing to help bands like us to get exposure, so thanks for that! It's also a great way to find out about bands of different genres.
