The Disaster Area - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Post-Hardcore band The Disaster Area from Germany, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

In our first rehearsals it often ended in a total disaster, there was no real structure in our workflow or anything that made sense. But with our new bass player there came more efficiency to the songwriting.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

We play this genre ‘cause we want to play the music we listen to. It’s fun for us, we love the way it sounds.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Yes, we’re all based in the same hometown. The local musicscene was never very big, so the musicians here know each other. Chris, Alex M. and Franz formed the band before, Alex K. joined 2012 and brought more metal influences in our old punk-rooted sound.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Chris: The Ghost Inside

Alex M.: Backstreet Boys (Backstreets back.... ALRIGHT!), Asking  Alexandria

Franz: Slipknot

Alex K.: Ed Sheeran

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Most of all: All the people who live their lives just day by day, no way to break out of their grey lifes, no horizon, no goal to fight for, no perspective for anything getting better.  A lot of our inspirations comes from other core-bands’ songs e. g. Of Mice And Men, BMTH and others. Most music of the songs is written by our drummer (Yes he can write :D). After that we bring our influences and lyrics into the basic idea.

7. Where would you like to act?  

With Full Force, Summer Breeze...

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Taylor Swift (HOT!!!!!!)

9. Whom not?  

Well, if you got nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all. But we’re alway glad to work with other inspirational artists.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

10 minutes before the show: everyone is shitting the hell into his pants, but in the moment the stage light goes on and the intro plays every fright is blown away

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Our music is influenced by basic metalcore elements, not any specific metalcore artists.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

Nothing strange or weird.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

If they exist (like unicorns).

14. What do you think of our site?  

A cool opportunity for bands whose fanbase isn’t that big.
