Trapped In Cold Season - Interview

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We all live in ILMENAU (GER) and it feels like it's colder here than anywhere else in Germany, so we decided to use this name because we're literally 'trapped in' a 'cold season'.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Because we're all part of the 'heavy-music-scene'. Two of us have their roots in Punk/Hardcore music, one is a true 'Metal-head', One Metalcore and one loves Hardcore and Melodic Hardcore.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Schnii (Guitar) and Hannes (Drums) lived in the same village near Schweinfurt in the middle/South of Germany. The rest of us did not know each other in any way before we started the band. We basically just met because we love this music. that's all we had in common in the beginning but it works out perfectly.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Max (Vocals): Your Demise for life.

Shnii: Nasty.

Berni (Bass): Periphery

Hannes: In Flames.

Jan (Guitar): Oider

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Max: The life surrounding me inspires me to write these lyrics.

Hannes: Because covering songs sucks. It's always more exciting to play own songs.

Jan: I just get the ideas in my head and I know exactly what it's supposed to sound like in the end.

6. Where was your last gig?  

Dresden, Club Novitatis (GER)

7. Where would you like to act?  

Max: Wherever possible.

Schnii: With Full Force Festival (near Leipzig).

Hannes: Full Metal Cruise (Miami Cruise).

Berni: F-Haus (Jena)" (Berni)

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Max: Get The Shot, Turnstile, Your Demise, Helene Fischer (haha)"

Berni: Parykway Drive" (Hannes, Schnii, Jan) -"Deadlock".

9. Whom not?  

Hannes: Vlada Ina, we hate these fuckers haha.

Schnii: No nazi bands.

Jan: Justin Bieber.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Max: Yeah the first show was hard. Just drink another beer and it's all good.

Hannes: Have a beer, have a KiitKat!

Schnii: It's just normal. just have another beer and kill it.

Berni: Practice, practice and did I mention practice?

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Max: Being As An Ocean.

Schnii: Heaven shall Burn. They were the first Metalcore band I saw on stage when I was 14.

Jan: In Flames, because In Flames.

Hannes: Every band that gives everything no matter how many people are at the show.

Berni: Adam 'Nolly' Getgood (Bassist of Periphery).

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

Max: Haha I had to use a beer bong right on stage between two songs.

Berni: I had to wear a ducky tie on stage.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

Max: I love them all.

Scnii: They're all fucking pussys haha.

Berni: More, we need more.

14. What do you think of our site?  

I think it is a good thing. Espescially in genres like hardcore that are not mainstream it is really necessary that bands get a platform where they are promoted and supported because this just doesn't happen in mainstrem media. as a fan I like the fact that I can always get to know new acts I would probably not have heard of without sites like yours.
