Vultures - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore band Vultures from Italy, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
We wanted a name that truly reflected our music and our way of thinking: direct and straightforward but yet different. The metaphor of the vulture stands for the way we conceive the music, trying to rise above over what is fashionable and make something different.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
We are all accomplished musicians, who practiced hard on ours instruments and coming from different musical backgrounds, but we also share the passion for metal , huge impact, twisted and heavy music.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Yes we knew each others as we already played in different bands in our local area.
4. Each band member favorite band?
That’s a tough question: we love so many bands, not necessarily metalcore but if have to pick up one, they would be:
Matteo (guitar) Foo Fighters
Fabrizio (Drums) Dream Theater
René (guitar) Pantera
Simone (Vocals) Punk Stuff like Lagwagon & Descendents
Stefanno (Bass) Evergrey.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Everything: sometimes we write songs about personal life experiences or maybe topics that we feel we have something to say about. The music of a song is built around a riff that one of the members finds out.
6. Where was your last gig?
One month ago we played at “Festival Rama” in Peschiera del Garda (Verona), that was a pretty large Gig. We played with Destrage, one of the biggest names in the Italian metal scene.
7. Where would you like to act?
Our dream is to get to play at some important European or American Festivals.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Architects: since the outset they have been a huge source of inspiration for us.
9. Whom not?
We wouldn’t feel comfortable in featuring with someone we don’t admire his music. That would be useless in featuring with someone just to boast around for the fact that you featured with some big names.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
We all feel comfortable on stage. A tip for the beginners: to win your stage fright before the show drink some 3-4 beers, they will help you calm your nerves.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
We are used to listen to all kind of music but if we picked up the bands that inspired us the most they would definitely be Architects, Bring Me The Horizon, the mighty Pantera and also Killswitch Engage.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
No weird things, on the contrary of what one would expect, metal fans are usually quiet people ahahah!
13. What do you think of your fans?
They’re our blood, I mean if it weren’t for the support of the fans every band would be nothing. It is worthless in having a band just to please other bands’ musicians. Sometimes the best appreciations we received were from people who were not in music.
14. What do you think of our site?
We would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to let you and the readers know who we are and most important what we play. It is a great opportunity for underground music bands.
15. Something to add?
We’re currently working hard to find our own way as a band. Nevertheless, we always keep in mind that we play because is what we really love to do, we hope that one day our efforts and dedication will pay off.
