A Shark Among Us - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the  Melodic Hardcore band A Shark Among Us from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Furby (Vocals): We named ourselves after an episode of Street Sharks. It started off as a joke because it sounded like a terrible metalcore band  but, It kinda just  stuck from there. lol

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Furby (Vocals): Melodic Hardcore is our favorite genre. When we started jamming we were really inspired by For the Fallen Dreams, and The Ghost Inside.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Furby (Vocals): I (Furby) knew Willy and Jorge through their previous bands, I met Matt through a friend in High School, and we met Adrian last year after our previous guitarist quit.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Jorge (Drums):  Furby-the acacia strain Adrian-trophy scar Willy- Rise against Matt- ? Jorge- counterparts & more than life.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Jorge (Drums): Our drives as musicians mostly. We all have some kind of musical talent and we don't want it to got to waste. Also the experience of being in a band. We don't want to look backs years from now and wonder what it would have been like to do all the things we want to do as a band like tour, record music, etc.

6. Where was your last gig?

Jorge (Drums): Our last gig was in programme skate and music in Fullerton CA. We filmed a music video there for our song assurance so keep a look out for that when it drops.  

7. Where would you like to act? 

Willy - (Lead Guitar): I would perform at the festival big day out

8.Whom would you like to feature with? 

Willy - (Lead Guitar): With counterparts.

9. Whom not? 

Willy - (Lead Guitar): Attila

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

Matt - (Bass): I used to get stage fright before we played when Asau first started but after playing shows more often it became easier and less awkward.

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Matt - (Bass): Misery signals. The ghost inside. For the fallen dreams. Parkway drive. As I lay dying.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

Matt - (Bass): Uhh I don't even know to be honest Iv been thinking about it nothing comes to mind if you guys wana throw in an answer.

13. What do you think of your fans? 

Adrian - (Rhythm Guitar): We think our fans are awesome! They've stuck with the band thru thick and thin, making it easier for us to keep on wanting to write more music! I was a fan of the band before I joined so it's been great to see how much asau has progressed.

14. What do you think of our site?

Adrian - (Rhythm Guitar): I (Adrian) think your page is such a cool thing because it exposes people to various interpretations of the sound shaped by different life experiences of others all around the world. I think btc is a great webzine because it increases the sense of community within fans of the sound and even opens up possibilities to network.
