Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore band Daily Regression from Germany, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It kind of just came by like that. It leaves a lot of room for interpretation though, so I'll leave that open for the listener. After all even we as bandmembers probably have different opinions about what it stands for.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

For me personally, Metalcore is one of the most diverse genres when it comes to expressing different emotions. That's why I fell in love with the genre years ago in the first place.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I knew who our bassist David was a while before cause we both played in different bands in the local scene earlier, but we never really got to know each other until we happened to be in the same school form when we did our A-levels in 2013. The band already existed back then and he kinda brought me into it, I didn't know the others before.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Our drummer Harry is more into progressive music, his faves include Dream Theater, Karnivool, and Porcupine Tree. David likes Northlane, August Burns Red, Architects, and Texas In July kinda stuff.. and while I can pretty much enjoy good stuff in almost every genre there is, the band that's dearest to me is probably a band called Katatonia from Sweden. Can't say much about our guitarist Marvin but he likes to be annoying with Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium riffs during rehearsals.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I for one am mostly inspired by memories, stuff that's going on in the world, or just life itself. But I think pretty much anything can be inspiring if you want it to be.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was at the end of May in the town I grew up in, called Bad Bodendorf. It was a pretty fun story, we just released our debut record but our release show got cancelled so my gf gathered all kinds of people and organized the gig without us knowing. They stole our instruments without us noticing cause we did not rehearse that week and made us believe we were doing stuff with random friends, when we actually all ended up at the location with everything set up for us to play a show. Our faces were priceless. And even though it was just a small show with only family and friends and we were totally unprepared I'll never forget this night.

7. Where would you like to act?

I'd love to play Summerbreeze in Bavaria, Germany, since it's like my favourite festival and I'm there every year. I'd also like to play in Russia or Japan some day.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Uhm.. I'm pretty open minded when it comes to experimentation, I think anything could work so that's kinda tough to answer.. I've been listening to a lot of Deftones and Crosses lately so I'll just throw Chino Moreeno in there, he's awesome.

9. Whom not?

Dunno. Anyone too close-minded.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I guess you just have to get the thought into your head that you're the greatest fuckin' badass that ever set foot on the stage. No, seriously, I don't think there's any method other than believing that you're good at what you're doing and just start enjoying yourself on stage. Just have fun and be yourself.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Other than the faves I mentioned earlier? Well, I got into harder music when I discovered Slipknot and As I Lay Dying when I was like 12 years old and got interested in singing in this style listening to Killswitch's "Alive Or Just Breathing". But I listen to and am inspired by so much stuff that a detailed list would probably bore you to death.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Can't think of much. Guess our fans aren't all too weird. :D

13. What do you think of your fans?

Fans keep bands alive. Without people listening to an artists music or going to shows to support them this would all be rather pointless, so of course fans mean a lot.

14. What do you think of our site?

I appreciate the effort you make to promote and spread the word of more unknown bands. It's important to have people like this around, so on behalf of about every band you already shared, thanks. Keep it up!

15. Something to add?

Thanks to Breathing The Core and everyone reading this for your interest in us! If you want to keep up with our stuff you can visit us on FB, look up our first lyric video for a song called "Cloudwalker" on youtube, or check up on our DIY debut record with the same name on bandcamp. Cheers!
