Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Deathcore/Metalcore band Ennui Breathes Malice from Australia, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

I came up with the name prior to forming the band, in about 2006 - At the time, I hadn't even sourced members for the group! The name was designed merely to sound a little different from the norm, and to hopefully provoke some thought; it really flows with the contradictory and obscure vibe our lyrical themes provide too.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Everyone in the band enjoys music of all kinds, to be honest.... I guess the exciting aspect of 'Deathcore' as you might call it, is the pace, melody, rhythm and groove etc. But more so the ability to blend styles! Labeling bands (essentially pigeon-holing them into a certain category) obviously helps new listeners determine whether they may enjoy a group, and that is important, however I believe that 'genres' can often take away from the sheer fact that 'heavy is heavy' and so forth.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

No, we didn't actually! Aside from a couple of us, we all met after advertising for members and have become great friends throughout.

4. Each band member favourite band?

It would be impossible to answer for all the guys....

As mentioned earlier, we all have so many different influences and tastes - And a lot of them aren't reflected through our own music! I absolutely can't get enough of Between The Buried And Me, Sevendust and Counting Crows personally, whilst the other boys have equally as diverse favourite acts.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I think there's simply an innate sense of creativity within most people - Music is an amazing medium for us to express ourselves, in a fulfilling and safe way I suppose.

Whether it be a life event, situations, or a story of some description, I like to take everyone's issues into consideration and write based upon those feelings. I'm hopeful that 10 different listeners can connect with any one song, in 10 different ways you know! I try to allow fans a window in which to make up their own mind on what a song is actually about - And there is no right or wrong when it comes to how a song makes you feel.

6. Where was your last gig?

About an hour from our home town, in Melbourne with Thy Art Is Murder! They have a brand new disc out and no doubt a lot of people are checking that one out, so jump on that if you havn't done so yet.

7. Where would you like to act?

We'd love to make it over to the United States and/or Europe for sure - That would be an unreal trip!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Obviously it would be a dream come true to play with some current major artists - But, if we had the opportunity to play in new places, we'd just be grateful to share the stage with anyone who had a similar passion for music. It would be really cool to catch up with the likes of The Contortionist,  The Black Dahlia Murder, Lamb Of God and Whitechapel again though - All really lovely dudes that treated us well.

9. Whom not?

I wouldn't like to comment on that - It's all about the tunes, so we'll play with absolutely anyone!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Oh man, every single time!! I get very nervous and I actually believe that you're at your best when you're that little bit anxious - Embrace it, I say!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

That's a tough question! As I said previously, our influences don't exactly shine through in the music we create, so I think the most inspiring bands are those who have crafted their own particular methods and remain true to their approach - Bands who have fought through the ups and downs of popularity and 'what's cool at the time', you know? Music in general is just a wonderful thing and it all has so much to offer and be thankful for!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Without a doubt, the weirdest thing we have ever been asked to do: Record a 'Happy Birthday' Video Message for a 2 year old boy in the Philippines! The kids middle name is 'Ennui' - That's parental dedication for you - Haha! We earn't some really loyal fans after our tour there with L.O.G and T.B.D.M, so that was pretty cool/weird!

13. What do you think of your fans?

You're absolutely nothing without your fans! We have some really solid supporters, and lots that have been with us from day one - Most of them from very far away places also, so we are forever grateful for the support we receive!

14. What do you think of our site?

Breathing The Core - Breathing The Malice! Gotta love it, mate - Doing great things, spreading the word - Keep it up!
